I thought I would try making one of these paper wreaths that I’ve been seeing online and as my favourite combination is black and white, I used the Merry Music to make this one. The papers in this designer series paper are a little lighter weight so it made forming the cones a lot easier.

It’s a great time to pick up your favourites that you haven’t had time to purchase before now and to do some Christmas shopping for your stamping friends.

I love the Half Full stamp set in the Holiday Catalogue. I have some thank you cards that I’ll be making to several folks who donated wine for one of the fundraisers that I was involved in and this set is perfect for those cards.
Before I get to those cards, which I hope will be soon, I made this one to share with you today.
The card base is 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ in Basic Black. It is layered with Whisper white and a piece of Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper. The color combo is repeated again in smaller measurements and then topped with the focal image which was cut out. I used the Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to color in the bunch of grapes.
I wrapped a length of Black and White 7/8″ Striped Ribbon around the first two layers of Whisper White and DSP. The smaller section was attached to the front of the card with dimensionals as was the focal image. I completed the card with the Black Rhinestones from the Holiday Catalogue.
Hope you like it!

It’s been a while that I was able to sit down and actually make a card and I finally got a chance to yesterday to make this gatefold card.
I used four different sets of framelits and thinlits to make this card – lol. I started with a card base of Tranquil Tide cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 2 1/8″ and 6 3/8″.
I cut the diamond shape in the centre using the Layering Square Framelits. The snowflake is from the Season Layers Thinlits, the trees from the Card Front Builder Thinlits and the stars from the Detailed Santa Thinlits all from the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper. The Designer Series Paper is the Delightful Daisy DSP and the sentiment is from Santa’s Sleigh.

It’s been a long two weeks since I’ve had a chance to share with you something new! Today’s share is this sweet card that I made using the Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper. I just love that paper.
Becky Roberts is the original designer of this card and I am looking forward to making many more with the different designer papers we have.
The card base is Whisper White with the Year of Cheer DSP panel. The box also uses the Year of Cheer DSP and the box top made with the Gold Foil. The sentiment is from the Merry Little Labels Bundle which has the co-ordinating punch. It is stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder and popped onto the card with Stampin’ dimensionals.
The gold strip is from the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi tape and the box top is finished with one of the gold Mini Gift Bows. There are 45 bows in the package, gold, silver and Berry Burst for only $8. These are in the Annual Catalogue on page 197 and if you prefer the traditional Christmas colors, there is also the Season of Glitz Mini Gift Bows in the Holiday Catalogue on page 21. There are green, red and white bows, also $8 for 45 bows.
Sunflowers are traditionally yellow and there have been some beautiful sunflowers in our local markets lately. The color is so vibrant. My card today is a departure from the traditional color and I love how it turned out.
I started with a piece of Old Olive card stock and cut it to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4′. The DSP layer is from Merry Little Christmas and cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″. The image pieces are Old Olive cut 3″ x 3″, with the Whisper White cut 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″.
I stamped the flower using Sweet Sugarplum, Fresh Fig and Soft Suede for the centre, and the leaves using Old Olive classic ink. The sentiment is Fresh Fig.
I wrapped three three strips of 1/8″ Sheer Fresh Fig ribbon wrapped over the DSP and secured at the back with adhesive. I then popped up the image piece with dimensionals over the front of the card.
The Designer Series Paper sale continues – buy 3 packages and get 1 free! There are some beautiful papers available, don’t miss out on this super buy!
Happy Thanksgiving to all my family and friends wherever you may reside!
I am very thankful for an early birthday present that I received yesterday that enabled me to make today’s card to share with you.
OMG, thank you to my DD, Alannah, who gifted me with the Large Letters framelits. Of course, I just had to do a card using the eclipse technique that is so popular right now.
The card uses the Blooms and Wishes stamp set and the color palette is Cajun Craze, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Currey and Old Olive. The card base Cajun Craze. The focal panel is Whisper White cut 3 3/4″ x 5″ and the mat of Old Olive is 1/8″ larger on all sides.
After stamping the flowers and leaves I stamped the sentiment from Daisy Delight in Cajun Craze classic ink and then cut out the letters with the Large Letters framelits. The letters are raised with Stampin’ Up! foam tape.
Thank you for stopping by on this beautiful Thanksgiving Day here in Metro Vancouver and happy stamping!
