The Holiday Catalogue that goes live on September 1 is chock a block full of too many tempting treats for the holiday season – I’m sure your Wish List will be a very lengthy one.
We made this card recently at our class, and I just love it!
Stamps: Cookie Cutter Christmas, Greetings from Santa
Paper: Real Red, Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stock, Candy Lane DSP
Ink: Real Red, Basic Black
Accessories: Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, Lots of Labels Framelits, White Perfect Accents, Red Sharpie, Dimensionals
I have been wanting to make one of these Z-fold cards for the longest time and decided that it was time to sit down and just do it! I chose the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper for the card and am pleased with the way it turned out.
The base card stock is Night of Navy cut 4 1/2″ x 11″ and scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″. The strip of card stock is cut 1 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″
I just love the different patterns in this Floral Boutique DSP and used two patterns to decorate the card. The floral cut outs are made with the Flourish Thinlits and the butterflies are made with the Bold Butterfly Framelits and the smallest of the Butterflies Thinlits. The sentiment is from Bunch of Blossoms. Basic Rhinestones are used to complete the card.
Stamps: Bunch of Blossoms
Paper: Night of Navy, Whisper White and Floral Boutique DSP
Christmas in August – my first Christmas class for the season – seems a bit early but a good time to get a head start on some holiday projects. We used the Flurry of Wishes and Snow Place for this card and brought in the new Sweet Sugarplum In Color for the primary color for the card.
You’ll also see a sneak peek of a 3/8″ gorgeous Glitter Ribbon combo pack of Sweet Sugarplum and silver. So beautiful!
A very quick card to put together with Sweet Sugarplum being the card base color and a layer of Whisper White. We used the snowflake stamp from Snow Place. We inked it up with Sweet Sugarplum classic ink and stamped off Snow Flurry punch.
We adhered the Sweet Sugarplum metallic ribbon around the Whisper White piece and popped it up on the card base with dimensionals. The punched snowflakes are also mounted onto the card with dimensionals. Basic rhinestones on the snowflakes completed the card.
Are you like me and buy new stamps, etc when they first come out and when I get them all – I’m so overwhelmed as to what to use first! It gets to the point that ideas are going through my mind a mile a minute that I can’t focus on what I want to do first and consequently – I don’t do anything! Yes, that’s what’s been happening to me the past while – I bought so many delightful stamp sets and bundles when the Annual Catalogue appeared just a couple of months ago and then I was able to preorder from the Holiday Catalogue earlier this month – so, lots of new stuff but couldn’t sit down and actually make something.
I finally got to this neat stamp set, Scenic Sayings, from the Annual Catalogue and it co-ordinates so well with the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack. The paper stack has 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs measuring 6″ x 6″. You can easily make up some quick cards (but I couldn’t even do that!) just pairing these two items together.
I used the sentiment Oh happy day from the stamp set on this beautiful background sheet.
The base card stock is Delightful Dijon cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″. The first mat is Whisper White cut 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ and the all you need to do is trim one of the 6″ x 6″ scenery sheets to 5 1/4″ x 4″ as the top layer. Stamp a sentiment from Scenic Sayings and dress it up with some twine and a button and it is done.
Thanks for stopping by on another beautiful day in Beautiful British Columbia and happy stamping!
Thoughtful Branches is an exclusive stamp set available only until August 31 while supplies last. My neighbour has the most beautiful hydrangeas and they inspired me to make my first Thoughtful Branches card to depict the flowers blooming during the summer.
Aren’t they gorgeous? Here’s my summer Thoughtful Branches card.
The card base is Rose Red cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″. The Whisper White layer has been rolled through the Big Shot using the Petal Burst embossing folder. The blossom is Sweet Sugarplum cut with the co-ordinating Thinlits in the Thoughtful Branches bundle and the leaves and stem cut using Wild Wasabi card stock. These are adhered to the front of the card with dimensionals. A piece of Sweet Sugarplum ruched ribbon tied in a knot is added to the stem with Glue Dots. The sentiment was stamped in Sweet Sugarplum and punched out with the 1 1/4″ Circle punch and sponged around the edges with Sweet Sugarplum classic ink and popped onto the card with dimensionals.
Stamps: Thoughtful Branches Bundle
Paper: Rose Red, Sweet Sugarplum, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White

Finally an Asian themed stamp set from Stampin’ Up! There has not been one for well over 10 years and I was so happy to see this Artistically Asian stamp set in the Annual Catalogue I would be even more happy if they had a set that has “Thank you” in the Chinese characters or even the words, Hsieh, Hsieh – how about a stamp set of Thank Yous in various languages? French, English, German, Chinese, Spanish? Would you like to see that?
Anyway, enough of that and here’s my Artistically Asian card.
I used Mint Macaron as the card base, cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″ The first layer is Tip Top Taupe cut 5 1/4″ x 4″ and the background piece of Mint Macaron is cut 5″ x 3 3/4″.
I stamped the bamboo image randomly using Mint Macaron classic ink – after inking it, I stamped it off to give a lighter shade on the panel.
The focal piece is stamped on Whisper White using Flirty Flamingo, Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron markers to ink up the image. The words are stamped in Tip Top Taupe. It is then cut out using the Layering Squares framelits and then matted onto a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock cut with the scallop edge Layering Squares framelits.
I attached a length of Flirty Flamingo Ruched ribbon around the two panels and then popped up the focal image on dimensionals.
Stamps: Artistically Asian
Paper: Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White
