Oh So Succulent Retiring

So sad that Oh So Succulent is retiring and will be gone after May 31!

Today’s card using the bundle gives you a sneak peek of a couple of the new In Colors and some retiring product.    Powder Pink and Fresh Fig are the new In Colors  – aren’t they beautiful?

I started with a Fresh Fig card base cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″.  I stamped two of the flower images in Powder Pink and Mint Macaron and rolled them out with the coordinating framelits.  The Fresh Fig flower was rolled out with the 3 different sizes of the flower and assembled with Tombow.  The trailing leaves were cut with Mint Macaron and the sprigs were stamped with Garden Green classic ink on Garden Green card stock and rolled out with the coordinating framelits.

I brought out the Window Box framelits and cut the flower box using Crumb Cake card stock.  All the floral pieces and box were assembled on a square Powder Pink piece of card stock cut out with the Layering Squares Framelits.  This was layered onto a scallop edge Layering Squares Framlits.

I had a strip of the retiring Blooms and Bliss DSP on my desk and it looked perfect for the card and adhered it to the card front.  I used the Vanilla side of the Doily to lay behind the focal piece.  I added dimensionals to the focal piece and adhered to the card front.  The Fresh Fig centre flower was popped up with a dimensional.

I brushed the leaves of the flowers with Wink of Stella to give them some shimmer and completed them with pearls to the centre of each flower.

The sentiment is also from Oh So Succulent and is stamped using Fresh Fig classic ink on Powder Pink card stock and punched out with the Classic Label punch and adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

When we were in San Diego earlier this month for OnStage and sight seeing at the Hotel del Coronado, there were succulents all over and I captured this beauty in a photo.

Sneak Peek Daisy Delight

One of the perks of attending OnStage is being able to preorder some of the new products from the upcoming Annual Catalogue.  This is a delightful set with a co-ordinating daisy punch!

And did I mention that there is a beautiful package of Designers Series Paper that co-ordinates with the stamp set.   I love it – so beautiful.

The primary card stock is Calypso Coral cut 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″.  I cut a piece of the DSP 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ and adhered it to a piece of Peek-a-Boo Peach cut 3 3/4″ x 5 “.  I stamped the daisy onto Whisper White card stock, one using Peek-a-Boo Peach classic ink and the other using So Saffron classic ink.  I then punched them out with the Daisy punch.  I stamped the centre of the Peach daisy with So Saffron.  I added a glue dot on the back the Peach daisy and placed it on top of the So Saffron daisy,  rotating  it to create a fuller effect, before pressing it keep it in place.  One of the new Gold Faceted Gems (they come in Clear too!) was placed in the centre of the daisy.

I brushed each petal with the Wink of Stella to add a bit of shine and then used the bone folder to gently shape the petals backwards.   I cut a piece of the DSP 3/8″ x 3 5/8” (its the reverse side of the DSP panel) and adhered it to the front of the panel.  I added the daisy to the right hand side of the panel with a dimensional.

The sentiment is stamped with Calypso Coral classic ink.  The completed panel is adhered to the front of the card using dimensionals.

  • Stamp Set:  Daisy Delight (in new AC)
  • Paper:  Calypso Coral, Peek-a-Boo Peach, Whisper White, Delightful Daisy DSP (in new AC)
  • Ink:  Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Peek-a-Boo Peach
  • Accessories:  Daisy Punch (in new AC),  Gold Faceted Gems, Dimensionals

Moving Hockey Card

This moving hockey card is a result of a Stamp Club session I held where we made a moving truck using the Sale-A-Bration Tasty Trucks stamp set.    THIS is the Tasty Trucks post.

My friend, Roseanne made the birthday card for her nephew as he’s a hockey fan and obviously a Connor McDavid fan.   The Oilers have the opportunity to knock out the San Jose Sharks in tonight’s game and move on in the play offs.  Something they haven’t done for many, many years.

Isn’t it the cutest card?  Pull the blue ribbon and “Connor” moves across the ice.  Good luck to the Oilers in the game tonight.  Should be a good one!

Happy Easter

I received this swap at the recent San Diego OnStage and wanted to share it with you and wish everyone a Happy Easter!  Unfortunately I don’t have the name of the person who made the card using the Easter Message stamp set.

Happy stamping!

Another Swap Card

It’s amazing how when you set your mind to doing something, it gets done so quickly!  This is another swap card I made and this one is a Dutch Door card.

The main card stock is Island Indigo and the layering pieces are the Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper.  The square pieces are Mint Macaron and Island Indigo cut with the Layering Squares Framelits.  The sentiment is from Suite Sayings stamped with Island Indigo classic ink and cut out with the Layering Circle Framelits.   The butterfly is punched out with the Bitty Butterfly punch also using the Blooms and Bliss DSP and a small pearl completes it.

The sentiment on the inside is from Dragon Dreams.

Artistically Asian Swap Card

I didn’t think I had time to make any swaps for the OnStage event this weekend but I managed to make a few as I know there will be some awesome swaps and didn’t want to miss out on them.

Here’s one of the cards I made using the Artistically Asian stamp set.

One of the difficulties in coming up with something is having a sketch.  Once I have a sketch, it makes the task of coming up with a card so much easier!  I used this sketch from Mojo Monday from a couple of weeks ago.   The card base is Whisper White with Emerald Envy being the accent color along with the 2016 – 2018 In Color DSP.  The image is inked up with Emerald Envy and Peek-a-boo Peach Markers.  The Emerald Envy ribbon ties it all together.

Special Reason by Carole

I’ve been MIA as I’ve been busy with some other projects and haven’t had a chance to share some creative with you.  I would like to share this lovely card made by my friend, Carole,  using the Special Reason bundle.

The card base is Sahara Sand and I love the incorporation of the Copper Foil layer and adding some of the flowers in the Copper Foil too.  Absolutely gorgeous!

Can’t believe it’s already April and we will soon receive a list of the retiring products from the 2016 – 2017 Annual Catalogue.  The list will be out next week and I’ll be posting it as soon as it is released.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!
