What a great time we had at OnStage over the weekend in Vancouver, BC. Over 300 people were in attendance from across Canada and US.
One of the fun part of OnStage is the swaps! It started as we were waiting in line to head into the conference room and I received so many beautiful cards. One of the stamp sets from the Holiday Catalogue that I’ve grown to love is the Christmas Pines (it’s on sale until the end of November) and the co-ordinating Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies. Please note: Only the stamp set is on sale.
Here are some of the swaps using this beautiful set. There is no name on the back so I don’t know who I got it from but it’s a beautiful card.
Here’s another with no name on it. Very pretty.
Karen Yeomans from Edmonton, AB made this gorgeous one using gold foil.
This one is from Wendy Howse of Tisdale, Saskatchewan – a full card and matching envelope! Beautiful!
While I do have the Christmas Pines/Pretty Pines Bundle, I haven’t even opened it yet! So my swap was made using the Hang Your Stocking bundle.

The Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and co-ordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch is one bundle that you may want to get if you don’t already have it! Not only does it have the most adorable holiday images but I made this baby card using the bear.
I had to make a baby boy gift basket and they always ask for a card to go with the basket and I thought what a great idea to use the new Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Oh my goodness – it is awesome! When you emboss it, you get this deep 3-D appearance on your card stock. Can you imagine all the possibilities?
The card base is Soft Sky with a layer of Whisper White and then I cut a piece of Soft Sky 3 3/4″ x 5″. I spritzed it lightly with water on both sides before running it through the Big Shot. Because the embossing folder is very thick, you only need one cutting plate for the sandwich to run it through. I stamped the bear image on a piece of Whisper White card stock using Soft Sky classic ink and then cut it with a circle framelit and layered it onto a scallop circle framelit. The facial expression is stamped using Basic Black Archival ink and as I had a scrap of Red Glimmer paper on my work desk, I punched out a little heart from the Cookie Cutter Builder punch. It’s adhered to the card front with dimensionals.
The sentiment is from Baby Bear stamped with Soft Sky classic ink on a piece of Whisper White which was stamped with one of the banners from Thoughtful Banners and then punched out using the Duet Banner punch.
It’s such a precious card and I love it!

.I’m delighted to share with you the swaps we had at a downline meeting.
This is from Maxine – I love the silver foil and glitter sheet that used for her card.
This one is from Pam, an adorable birthday card.
Shannon’s used the Candy Cane Lane DSP that’s on the Buy 3 Get 1 Free DSP special only until October 31!
I used the Cookie Cutter Halloween set with Peek-a-boo Peach card stock and the 2016-2018 In Color DSP pack.
Time is running out to purchase your favourite Designer Series Paper packages.
White Christmas cards – I love making these cards and recently had a class for this year’s group of cards. Here’s one from the group.
I hadn’t used the Holly embossing folder that came out in the Annual Catalogue and was awed by the beauty of it. The Mini Jingle Bells from the Holiday Catalogue were perfect for this card. There are 30 silver and 30 red bells in the package so you can make lots of projects using them.
It’s been a while since I posted even though I have lots to share – it’s that time of year when everything is “back to normal” with lots of projects going on at the same time. I had been working on this card class for a while and we held it yesterday and had great fun making them.
Lots of glitter!
A tutorial and a card kit for these cards will be available shortly.
In less than a week, you can get this cute Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and the co-ordinating Cookie Cutter Builder punch! Purchase it as a bundle and save 10%. You will love all the sweet images in the set and, if that’s not enough, there is also a matching Cookie Cutter Halloween set – oh so very cute!
The Holiday Catalogue that goes live on September 1 is chock a block full of too many tempting treats for the holiday season – I’m sure your Wish List will be a very lengthy one.
We made this card recently at our class, and I just love it!
