Colorful Seasons Bundle

Another very cool bundle coming on June 1 is the Colorful Seasons Bundle.  Colorful Seasons stamp set and the Season Layers Thinlits dies make up this neat bundle.  Only 11 days away before the new catty is live!   But who’s counting?

Also co-ordinating with this bundle is the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack and today’s card uses all three of the items.

The card base is Dapper Denim cut 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at  5 1/2″.  I trimmed down one of the sheets of the Color Theory DSP Paper Stack to 3″ x 4 1/2″ and adhered it to a Basic Black mat cut 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″.

On the DSP I used a mask to sponge the sun with Daffodil Delight classic ink.  The birds are from High Tide stamped with Black Archival ink.  I used the Season Layers thinlits to cut the chair as well as the cool drink of lemonade.  The sentiment is also from Colorful Seasons.  I love the peaceful image of the card.

SUPPLIES:

  • Stamps:  Colorful Seasons (available June 1), High Tide
  • Paper:  Dapper Denim, Basic Black, Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack (available June 1), Daffodil Delight
  • Ink:  Black Archival, Daffodil Delight
  • Accessories:  Seasonal Layers Thinlits (available June 1),  1 1/4″ Circle punch, Stampin’ Sponges

Birthday Wishes for Mojo Monday

It’s been a while that I participated in a Mojo Monday sketch challenge and today’s card uses this week’s sketch.  I used the Birthday Delivery bundle and Birthday Memories DSP (all available June 1).  I love all the colorful images in the DSP, they are so adorable!

The base card stock is Blushing Bride with a layer of Sweet Sugarplum.  I stamped the cupcake image from a retired stamp set, Party Wishes.  The cupcake is inked with Sweet Sugarplum classic ink and stamped in second generation across the card stock.

I cut a piece of Blushing Bride 2 1/4″ x 4 3/4″ to layer over the Crumb Cake card stock cut on a diagonal.  It is 2″ wide.  I snipped out a piece of the DSP with the girl image and cut it out with the Oval Layers Framelits.  It is popped up on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I then added some Sweet Sugarplum 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes on the Blushing Bride panel.

SUPPLIES:

  • Stamp Sets:  Party Wishes (retired)
  • Paper:  Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum, Crumb Cake, Birthday Memories DSP (available June 1)
  • Ink:  Sweet Sugarplum
  • Accessories:  Birthday Friends Framelits (available June 1 in a bundle with the Birthday Delivery stamp set), Oval Layering Framelits, 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Here is the Mojo sketch 497.

Another Swap Card

It’s amazing how when you set your mind to doing something, it gets done so quickly!  This is another swap card I made and this one is a Dutch Door card.

The main card stock is Island Indigo and the layering pieces are the Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper.  The square pieces are Mint Macaron and Island Indigo cut with the Layering Squares Framelits.  The sentiment is from Suite Sayings stamped with Island Indigo classic ink and cut out with the Layering Circle Framelits.   The butterfly is punched out with the Bitty Butterfly punch also using the Blooms and Bliss DSP and a small pearl completes it.

The sentiment on the inside is from Dragon Dreams.

High Tide Meets Serene Scenery

!I brought out the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack to make today’s card with the High Tide stamp set.  I made a centre step card and cut the back down to form the backdrop.

The paper stack comes in 6″ x 6″ sheets with many beautiful scenic backgrounds that make your card making so easy!   I cut the sides from each side to place on the side step pieces of the card and then cut the centre portion in one piece.  I did just a tiny bit of sponging at the top of the image and sides using Island Indigo classic ink.   I love the High Tide stamp set but it took me a while to use it.

SUPPLIES:

  • Stamp Set:  High Tide
  • Paper:  Island Indigo, Serene Scenery DS Paper Stack
  • Ink:  Soft Suede, Memento Black, Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo
  • Accessories:  Stampin’ Sponges

Suite Sayings Meets Suite Sentiments

Two stamp sets with “sweet” sayings were used for today’s card.   I had started out using the more colorful side of the Fruit Stand DSP but couldn’t get the colors to work as it seemed too “busy” for me.  And on the reverse side of the piece I was using was this more muted piece that I absolultely love!

The card is a modified Dutch Door cut on a Watermelon Wonder card base.  The top panel is a piece of Flirty Flamingo stamped with the floral image from So In Love using Watermelon Wonder classic ink.

The lower panel is a piece of the DSP.  The sentiment in front is from Suite Sayings.

The sentiment inside is from Suite Sentiments.

Just a quick post today!   Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

Stampin’ Up! Foxy Friends and Specials

You really want to have this Foxy Friends bundle as you can create a whole menagerie of animals with it.  I had so much fun putting this card together and was smiling the whole time as the skunk appeared to come alive as I was putting the pieces together that were punched from the Fox Builder punch.

Foxy Friends Skunk tentsvI haven’t made a tent topper card in a long while and this seemed to be the right layout for this sweet little skunk!  I also used the Thoughtful Banners bundle, Thoughtful Banners stamp set and Duet Banner punch, for the sentiment, the layering Circles framelits for the top part of the card and the Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Paper really did make it pop!

Stampin’ Up! Floral Boutique Z-fold

I have been wanting to make one of these Z-fold cards for the longest time and decided that it was time to sit down and just do it!  I chose the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper for the card and am pleased with the way it turned out.

Floral Boutique DSP ZfoldThe base card stock is Night of Navy cut 4 1/2″ x 11″ and scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″.  The strip of card stock is cut 1 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″

Floral Boutique DSP Zfoldo2I just love the different patterns in this Floral Boutique DSP and used two patterns to decorate the card.  The floral cut outs are made with the Flourish Thinlits and the butterflies are made with the Bold Butterfly Framelits and the smallest of the Butterflies Thinlits.  The sentiment is from Bunch of Blossoms.  Basic Rhinestones are used to complete the card.

Stampin’ Up! Scenic Sayings

Are you like me and buy new stamps, etc when they first come out and when I get them all – I’m so overwhelmed as to what to use first!  It gets to the point that ideas are going through my mind a mile a minute that I can’t focus on what I want to do first and consequently – I don’t do anything!   Yes, that’s what’s been happening to me the past while – I bought so many delightful stamp sets and bundles when the Annual Catalogue appeared just a couple of months ago and then I was able to preorder from the Holiday Catalogue earlier this month – so, lots of new stuff but couldn’t  sit down and actually make something.

I finally got to this neat stamp set, Scenic Sayings, from the Annual Catalogue and it co-ordinates so well with the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack.  The paper stack has 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs measuring 6″ x 6″.  You can easily make up some quick cards (but I couldn’t even do that!) just pairing these two items together.

I used the sentiment Oh happy day from the stamp set on this beautiful background sheet.

Scenic Sayings DijonThe base card stock is  Delightful Dijon cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″.  The first mat is Whisper White cut 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ and the all you need to do is trim one of the 6″ x 6″ scenery sheets to 5 1/4″ x 4″ as the top layer.  Stamp a sentiment from Scenic Sayings and dress it up with some twine and a button and it is done.

Thanks for stopping by on another beautiful day in Beautiful British Columbia and happy stamping!
