If you’ve been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for a number of years, do you recall when we made some altered albums using this CD album cover?
We bought them from ULine and in the case there must have been either 100 or 500 of them and while we shared among the demonstrators, I still have a bunch left even though I’ve had a couple of classes with them.
It was time to have another class and for this class, I added some pages with inserts, a waterfall etc. We used the Naturally Eclectic DSP and the Eclectic Layers thinlits.
My sample used the Lemon Lime colors.
The ladies could choose the Lemon Lime color combo or the Berry Burst/Fresh Figs combo.
Here’s Pauline’s cover.
Carole and Janet chose the Berry Burst/Fresh Figs colors.
I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of Diane’s but she chose the Lemon Lime colors for her album. I’ll share with you some of the pages in the next few days.
Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping – still hot and muggy – ugh!
Here it is the 4th of September when I usually see falling leaves as they turn from the bright greens of summer to the vibrant colors of fall – but it’s steaming out! Oh my goodness, while I have enjoyed the super summer days, I am longing for e thmuch cooler temperatures of fall. It can’t happen soon enough for me!
So I thought that if I shared a Christmas card, I can imagine it being a lot cooler.
This set is carried over into the Annual Catalogue from last year’s Holiday Catalogue. It is so cute with various images not only of this cute gingerbread but also Santa, an Inuit doll, bear (great for baby cards) and reindeer. There is a co-ordinating punch that will make it very easy to cut out the images.
I used the Be Merry DSP that is in the Annual Catalogue to cut different sizes to make the DSP layer. The gingerbread is stamped with Crumb Cake and punched out with the Cookie Cutter punch. Rhinestones are colored black with a Black Sharpie for the eyes. It is popped up on a Cherry Cobbler circle and then layered onto a scallop circle framelit which is adhered to the front of the card with dimensionals.
Stamp the stentiment with Cherry Cobbler ink on apiece of Whisper White and then flag the ends and add to the front of the card.
Thanks for stopping by on this beautiful Labour Day Monday – hope you’ve had an enjoyable long weekend.
Santa’s Sleigh is a carry over stamp set from last year’s Holiday catalogue and I was so happy that it is available as I really didn’t get a chance to make too many cards with it last year but hope to do so this year.
We made this card at my Christmas in August class this past weekend using the set and I love how it turned out with the use of Tranquil Tide and the Delightful Daisy DSP.
We used the Basket Weave technique for the detailed side fold. The reindeer were cut using the Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper. As I turned the glimmer paper face down on the cutting pad, they are facing left rather than to the left.
We inked up the wreath stamp with Versamark and then with Tranquil Tide and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. As long as you use your Versamark with the color you wish to have embossed, there is no need to purchase the colored embossing powder. The Versamark creates the stickiness to allow the embossing and simply use clear embossing powder to heat set. They were then cut out with the co-ordinating thinlits.
The trees and bows were all cut out with the co-ordinating framelits from the Santa Sleigh’s Thinlits Finally we created some snow on a strip of Whisper White card stock and used the Fine Tip Glue pen to add some adhesive and then sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds.
Thanks for stopping by today and happy stamping!
Beautiful You in a Pop of Pink! I used the retired Pop of Pink Specialty Designers Series Paper for this card as I love the contrast of Melon Mambo with the Black.
I used the brush stamp from Beautiful You for the background in Melon Mambo and stamped her image with Black Archival ink. The focal image is cut with the Layering Oval framelits and popped up on a Melon Mambo oval and finally on a black Stitched Shapes framelit.
Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!
I couldn’t resist this beautiful Whole Lot of Lovey Designer Series Paper pack when I saw the sheet with the black background and beautiful Tangerine Tango flowers. This is my share for today.
The paper just pops paired with Pool Party mats and the Tangerine Tango butterfly cut with the medium butterfly from the Butterflies Thinlits. I added some Enamel Glitter Dots to the butterfly.
The sentiment is from Beautiful Bouquet, a set that I haven’t fully used but anxious to make some cards with it.

I pulled out the Scallop Topper punch and made this card with the Lemon Zest Bundle that comes with the Lemon Zest stamp set and Lemon Builder Punch.
This is such a delightful set with some very cute sentiments. We made some cards at my Open House and hadn’t used it since so it was time for another card. The card base is Daffodil Delight, with Whisper White mat and the retired Fruit Stand DSP.
I stamped two lemons with Daffodil Delight classic ink on Whisper White card stock and two leaves with Pear Pizzazz classic ink on Whisper White card stock and punched them out with the Lemon Builder punch. They are adhered to the side panel with Tombow liquid glue and dimensionals.
You punch both sides of the card stock with the Scallop Topper punch and trim the ends to create this card. I love the new 1/4″ Double-Stitched Daffodil Delight ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by today – another beautiful sunny day – happy stamping!
The Naturally Eclectic Suite on pages 132 – 133 of the Annual Catalogue is so pretty. I love the colors that are shown from the Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon – Night of Navy, Peekaboo Peach, Berry and Emerald Envy to the Eclectic Layers Thinlits and the Naturally Eclictic Card Overlays! Oh, and I haven’t mentioned the Naturally Eclectic DSP!
While the images are very bright, I went the opposite route for my card share today – subtle tones.
I chose Peekaboo Peach for the card base and one of the soft sheets of the DSP to build my card. A panel of the DSP is layered with one last year’s doilies then a panel of Whisper White stamped with the petal image In Pear Pizzazz, Peekaboo Peach and Soft Sky. I stamped off the Peach and Pear Pizzazz and used the Soft Sky at full strength as it is a very light color. I then stamped the flower image using Berry Burst. I used Soft Sky to stamp the background with one of the little flower centres available in the stamp set.
The stamped image is popped up with dimensionals and the sentiment is also popped up with dimensionals. Thank you Kathleen for the layout!
Next on my list to do with the set is to cut a mask with the thinlit and use it with some of the embossing paste. Looking forward to trying that!
Thanks for stopping by and have a happy stamping day!
At our stamping event, my friend, Janet, demonstrated two fantastic cards. For the first one she showed us the basket weave technique and used the Graceful Garden stamp set and co-ordinating Petal Garden Designers Series Paper Stack.
With the return of the Glossy White card stock, Janet’s second card featured the polished stone technique. The card base is Fresh Fig. The reinkers she used to create the polished stone effect was Pink Pirouette and Fresh Fig with the gold metallic. She finished the card with the dragonfly and a Swirly Scribbles thinlit.
Thanks so much Janet for two wonderful demonstrations!
We had a lot of mom and daughter attendees and here they are.
and Maxine, one of my team members.
Thanks for stopping by on this beautiful day before the long Canada Day weekend. Happy stamping!
We held our last Stampers Club for this session until the fall on Monday and we made this buckle card with the daisy punch and Delightful Daisy DSP.
Do you notice the coloration on the front of the card? The Designer Series Papers this year looks faded, however, it was intentional to provide a color wash look.
It’s been a while that I made a buckle card so it was fun to make.
Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!
Another very cool bundle coming on June 1 is the Colorful Seasons Bundle. Colorful Seasons stamp set and the Season Layers Thinlits dies make up this neat bundle. Only 11 days away before the new catty is live! But who’s counting?
Also co-ordinating with this bundle is the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack and today’s card uses all three of the items.
The card base is Dapper Denim cut 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″. I trimmed down one of the sheets of the Color Theory DSP Paper Stack to 3″ x 4 1/2″ and adhered it to a Basic Black mat cut 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″.
On the DSP I used a mask to sponge the sun with Daffodil Delight classic ink. The birds are from High Tide stamped with Black Archival ink. I used the Season Layers thinlits to cut the chair as well as the cool drink of lemonade. The sentiment is also from Colorful Seasons. I love the peaceful image of the card.
- Stamps: Colorful Seasons (available June 1), High Tide
- Paper: Dapper Denim, Basic Black, Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack (available June 1), Daffodil Delight
- Ink: Black Archival, Daffodil Delight
