Whole Lot of Lovely

I couldn’t resist this beautiful Whole Lot of Lovey Designer Series Paper pack when I saw the sheet with the black background and beautiful Tangerine Tango  flowers.  This is my share for today.

The paper just pops paired with Pool Party mats and the Tangerine Tango butterfly cut with the medium butterfly from the Butterflies Thinlits.  I added some Enamel Glitter Dots to the butterfly.

The sentiment is from Beautiful Bouquet, a set that I haven’t fully used but anxious to make some cards with it.

I pulled out the Scallop Topper punch and made this card with the Lemon Zest Bundle that comes with the Lemon Zest stamp set and Lemon Builder Punch.

This is such a delightful set with some very cute sentiments. We made some cards at my Open House and hadn’t used it since so it was time for another card.   The card base is Daffodil Delight, with Whisper White mat and the retired Fruit Stand DSP.

I stamped two lemons with Daffodil Delight classic ink on Whisper White card stock and two leaves with Pear Pizzazz classic ink on Whisper White card stock and punched them out with the Lemon Builder punch.  They are adhered to the side panel with Tombow liquid glue and dimensionals.

You punch both sides of the card stock with the Scallop Topper punch and trim the ends to create this card.  I love the new 1/4″ Double-Stitched Daffodil Delight ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today – another beautiful sunny day – happy stamping!

Oh So Eclectic

The Naturally Eclectic Suite  on pages 132 – 133 of the Annual Catalogue is so pretty.  I love the colors that are shown from the Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon – Night of Navy, Peekaboo Peach, Berry and Emerald Envy to the Eclectic Layers Thinlits and the Naturally Eclictic Card Overlays!  Oh, and I haven’t mentioned the Naturally Eclectic DSP!

While the images are very bright, I went the opposite route for my card share today – subtle tones.

I chose Peekaboo Peach for the card base and one of the soft sheets of the DSP to build my card.  A panel of the DSP is layered with one last year’s doilies then a panel of Whisper White stamped with the petal image In Pear Pizzazz, Peekaboo Peach and Soft Sky.   I stamped off the Peach and Pear Pizzazz and used the Soft Sky at full strength as it is a very light color.  I then stamped the flower image using Berry Burst.   I used Soft Sky to stamp the background with one of the little flower centres available in the stamp set.

The stamped image is popped up with dimensionals and the sentiment is also popped up with dimensionals.   Thank you Kathleen for the layout!

Next on my list to do with the set is to cut a mask with the thinlit and use it with some of the embossing paste.  Looking forward to trying that!

Thanks for stopping by and have a happy stamping day!

Graceful Garden Basket Weave – Polished Stone

At our stamping event, my friend, Janet, demonstrated two fantastic cards.  For the first one she showed us the basket weave technique and used the Graceful Garden stamp set and co-ordinating Petal Garden Designers Series Paper Stack.

With the return of the Glossy White card stock, Janet’s second card featured the polished stone technique.  The card base is Fresh Fig.  The reinkers she used to create the polished stone effect was Pink Pirouette and Fresh Fig with the gold metallic.   She finished the card with the dragonfly and a Swirly Scribbles thinlit.

Thanks so much Janet for two wonderful demonstrations!

We had a lot of mom and daughter attendees and here they are.

and Maxine, one of my team members.

Thanks for stopping by on this beautiful day before the long Canada Day weekend.  Happy stamping!

Daisy Buckle Card

We held our last Stampers Club for this session until the fall on Monday and we made this buckle card with the daisy punch and Delightful Daisy DSP.

Do you notice the coloration on the front of the card?  The Designer Series Papers this year looks faded, however, it was intentional to provide a color wash look.

It’s been a while that I made a buckle card so it was fun to make.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

Colorful Seasons Bundle

Another very cool bundle coming on June 1 is the Colorful Seasons Bundle.  Colorful Seasons stamp set and the Season Layers Thinlits dies make up this neat bundle.  Only 11 days away before the new catty is live!   But who’s counting?

Also co-ordinating with this bundle is the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack and today’s card uses all three of the items.

The card base is Dapper Denim cut 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at  5 1/2″.  I trimmed down one of the sheets of the Color Theory DSP Paper Stack to 3″ x 4 1/2″ and adhered it to a Basic Black mat cut 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″.

On the DSP I used a mask to sponge the sun with Daffodil Delight classic ink.  The birds are from High Tide stamped with Black Archival ink.  I used the Season Layers thinlits to cut the chair as well as the cool drink of lemonade.  The sentiment is also from Colorful Seasons.  I love the peaceful image of the card.

SUPPLIES:

  • Stamps:  Colorful Seasons (available June 1), High Tide
  • Paper:  Dapper Denim, Basic Black, Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack (available June 1), Daffodil Delight
  • Ink:  Black Archival, Daffodil Delight
  • Accessories:  Seasonal Layers Thinlits (available June 1),  1 1/4″ Circle punch, Stampin’ Sponges

While the new catalogue goes live on June 1, it also means that all your favourites from the current catalogue will be retired as of May 31.  Don’t miss out on getting those items.  My online store is always open for business.   You can SHOP MY STORE HERE.

Thanks for stopping by on a beautiful day in sunny South Surrey and happy stamping!

Birthday Wishes for Mojo Monday

It’s been a while that I participated in a Mojo Monday sketch challenge and today’s card uses this week’s sketch.  I used the Birthday Delivery bundle and Birthday Memories DSP (all available June 1).  I love all the colorful images in the DSP, they are so adorable!

The base card stock is Blushing Bride with a layer of Sweet Sugarplum.  I stamped the cupcake image from a retired stamp set, Party Wishes.  The cupcake is inked with Sweet Sugarplum classic ink and stamped in second generation across the card stock.

I cut a piece of Blushing Bride 2 1/4″ x 4 3/4″ to layer over the Crumb Cake card stock cut on a diagonal.  It is 2″ wide.  I snipped out a piece of the DSP with the girl image and cut it out with the Oval Layers Framelits.  It is popped up on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I then added some Sweet Sugarplum 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes on the Blushing Bride panel.

SUPPLIES:

  • Stamp Sets:  Party Wishes (retired)
  • Paper:  Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum, Crumb Cake, Birthday Memories DSP (available June 1)
  • Ink:  Sweet Sugarplum
  • Accessories:  Birthday Friends Framelits (available June 1 in a bundle with the Birthday Delivery stamp set), Oval Layering Framelits, 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Here is the Mojo sketch 497.

Another Swap Card

It’s amazing how when you set your mind to doing something, it gets done so quickly!  This is another swap card I made and this one is a Dutch Door card.

The main card stock is Island Indigo and the layering pieces are the Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper.  The square pieces are Mint Macaron and Island Indigo cut with the Layering Squares Framelits.  The sentiment is from Suite Sayings stamped with Island Indigo classic ink and cut out with the Layering Circle Framelits.   The butterfly is punched out with the Bitty Butterfly punch also using the Blooms and Bliss DSP and a small pearl completes it.

The sentiment on the inside is from Dragon Dreams.

High Tide Meets Serene Scenery

!I brought out the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack to make today’s card with the High Tide stamp set.  I made a centre step card and cut the back down to form the backdrop.

The paper stack comes in 6″ x 6″ sheets with many beautiful scenic backgrounds that make your card making so easy!   I cut the sides from each side to place on the side step pieces of the card and then cut the centre portion in one piece.  I did just a tiny bit of sponging at the top of the image and sides using Island Indigo classic ink.   I love the High Tide stamp set but it took me a while to use it.

SUPPLIES:

  • Stamp Set:  High Tide
  • Paper:  Island Indigo, Serene Scenery DS Paper Stack
  • Ink:  Soft Suede, Memento Black, Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo
  • Accessories:  Stampin’ Sponges

Suite Sayings Meets Suite Sentiments

Two stamp sets with “sweet” sayings were used for today’s card.   I had started out using the more colorful side of the Fruit Stand DSP but couldn’t get the colors to work as it seemed too “busy” for me.  And on the reverse side of the piece I was using was this more muted piece that I absolultely love!

The card is a modified Dutch Door cut on a Watermelon Wonder card base.  The top panel is a piece of Flirty Flamingo stamped with the floral image from So In Love using Watermelon Wonder classic ink.

The lower panel is a piece of the DSP.  The sentiment in front is from Suite Sayings.

The sentiment inside is from Suite Sentiments.

Just a quick post today!   Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!
