Floral Phrases with Note Card

Still not getting enough of this beautiful suite.  I have been making several cards using the suite but in alternate colors, however, today’s card is using the Night of Navy card stock once more.

The card base is 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at  5 1/2″.  The DSP Floral Boutique panel is cut 5 1/4″ x 4″.  I used the larger thinlit and border to cut out the accent piece and it is cut 4 1/4″ x 3 1/2″.

Adhere the pocket to the front of the card using the Multipurpose glue.  A length of the Night of Navy Twine is tied around the layers and then adhered to the front of the card.

Floral Phrases Navy

I made a note card to tuck inside the pocket.  T3he Night of Navy piece is cut  4 1/8″ x 3 1/4″ with the Whisper White layer cut 4″ x 3 1/8″.  The floral image and sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy and embellished with some Basic Rhinestones.

Floral Phrases Navy Note

On the side of the card is a panel of Whisper White cut 5 1/4″ x 4″ with the sentiment and border stamped in Night of Navy and also embellished with more Basic Rhinestones.

Floral Boutique Suite

Part of the Floral Boutique suite is the gorgeous Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper and Designer Washi Tape.  They work together to form such a gorgeous collection.

I used both the paper and the tape for today’s card.

Floral Boutique DSP NavyI started with a Whisper White card base cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″.  The Night of Navy Layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″ and the Whisper White feature panel is 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.

I cut a piece of the DSP at an angle and adhered it to the Whisper White and added two of the Washi tape on each side of the DSP.  I stamped the floral image from the Floral Phrases stamp set in Night of Navy and punched out a circle using the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch, layered onto a piece of Pink Pirouette card stock punched with the 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch and then onto a piece of Night of Navy card stock punched with the 2″ Circle Punch and popped it onto the card with dimensionals.

The birthday greeting is from Butterfly Basics stamped in Night of Navy ink on Whisper White and attached to a piece of Night of Navy and flagged on one end.  I completed the card with some Pink Pirouette Candy Dots.

Swirly Bird Bundle

This is a fabulous bundle as you can make beautiful floral images to adorable baby cards.  The bonus is in the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits in this bundle as you get this nice “scroll” in them.

I used the scroll in today’s card.  I started with a card base cut 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″.  On the front panel of the card, I cut it at 2 3/4″ from the top fold, and then cut off a 1 1/2″ piece.

Swirly Bird Melon
The layering pieces of Melon Mambo is cut at 4″ x 2 1/2″ and 4″ x 1 1/4″ with the Pop of Pink Specialty DSP pieces cut at 3 7/8″ x 2 1/2″ and 3 7/8″ x 1 1/8″.

The Basic Black scroll piece from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits is trimmed to 4 1/2″.   You next place the small front panel piece flush with the bottom of back panel of the card and then adhere the scroll to the front of the card with adhesive to the top piece and bottom piece.

I added Melon Membo flowers, highlighted with a bit of Clear Wink of Stella,  to the front of the scroll  On the inside panel of the card, I stamped the sentiment from Suite Sayings in Memento Black ink  to show through the opening of the card and colored the leaf with a Melon Mambo Marker.

Swirly Scribbles

Playing with some of the new goodies coming out in the Annual Catalogue on June 1 and had fun with this new thinlit, Swirly Scribbles.  I’ve also incorporated two other new products, Melon Mambo Thick Baker’s Twine and the Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Swirly Scribbles MelonI started with a piece of Basic Black card stock cut 4 1/2″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″.  The Melon Mambo later is cut 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ with the DSP cut at 5″ x 3 3/4″.   There are three sizes of swirls in the set and those are cut out in Melon Mambo and Basic Black.  I added the Baker’s Twine in the middle of the layers and added the swirls on top with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment is from Circle of Spring stamped on Whisper White and punched out with the 7/8″ Scallop punch (retiring!) and layered onto a Black 1″ Circle punched piece and adhered to the card with a dimensional.
