Tabs for Everything

Tabs for Everything was one of the sets we received at OnStage earlier this year.  I really didn’t see how I would use it until I received the current issue of Stampin’ Success that featured this set.  It comes as a bundle with the new Circle Tab Punch.

I made this mini pizza box with the set for my Open House last weekend.

And I cased the note cards that were in the magazine.

The punch is just too cute.

Some great uses for the Circle Tab punch are:

  • Make tabs for the catalogue for the different categories
  • Punch out the color of card stock you use on a section of the stamping sponges and staple it to the sponge so it identifies the ink color you are using.  We used to have the tab punch that served the same purpose.
  • Use it as a pull tab on your various projects

SUPPLIES:

  • Stamps:  Tabs for Everything (Bundle with Circle Tab Punch #145364 – $40)
  • Paper:  Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Subtles DSP
  • Ink:  Pool Party, Powder Pink, Island Indigo,  Wisteria Wonder,Black Archival
  • Accessories:  Circle Tab Punch, Layering Circles Framelits, Dimensionals, Retired Twine

Thanks for stopping by and having a stamping good day!

Sneak Peek Daisy Delight

One of the perks of attending OnStage is being able to preorder some of the new products from the upcoming Annual Catalogue.  This is a delightful set with a co-ordinating daisy punch!

And did I mention that there is a beautiful package of Designers Series Paper that co-ordinates with the stamp set.   I love it – so beautiful.

The primary card stock is Calypso Coral cut 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″.  I cut a piece of the DSP 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ and adhered it to a piece of Peek-a-Boo Peach cut 3 3/4″ x 5 “.  I stamped the daisy onto Whisper White card stock, one using Peek-a-Boo Peach classic ink and the other using So Saffron classic ink.  I then punched them out with the Daisy punch.  I stamped the centre of the Peach daisy with So Saffron.  I added a glue dot on the back the Peach daisy and placed it on top of the So Saffron daisy,  rotating  it to create a fuller effect, before pressing it keep it in place.  One of the new Gold Faceted Gems (they come in Clear too!) was placed in the centre of the daisy.

I brushed each petal with the Wink of Stella to add a bit of shine and then used the bone folder to gently shape the petals backwards.   I cut a piece of the DSP 3/8″ x 3 5/8” (its the reverse side of the DSP panel) and adhered it to the front of the panel.  I added the daisy to the right hand side of the panel with a dimensional.

The sentiment is stamped with Calypso Coral classic ink.  The completed panel is adhered to the front of the card using dimensionals.

Supplies:

  • Stamp Set:  Daisy Delight (in new AC)
  • Paper:  Calypso Coral, Peek-a-Boo Peach, Whisper White, Delightful Daisy DSP (in new AC)
  • Ink:  Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Peek-a-Boo Peach
  • Accessories:  Daisy Punch (in new AC),  Gold Faceted Gems, Dimensionals

Stampin’ Up! Foxy Friends and Specials

You really want to have this Foxy Friends bundle as you can create a whole menagerie of animals with it.  I had so much fun putting this card together and was smiling the whole time as the skunk appeared to come alive as I was putting the pieces together that were punched from the Fox Builder punch.

Foxy Friends Skunk tentsvI haven’t made a tent topper card in a long while and this seemed to be the right layout for this sweet little skunk!  I also used the Thoughtful Banners bundle, Thoughtful Banners stamp set and Duet Banner punch, for the sentiment, the layering Circles framelits for the top part of the card and the Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Paper really did make it pop!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas in August

Christmas in August – my first Christmas class for the season – seems a bit early but a good time to get a head start on some holiday projects.   We used the Flurry of Wishes and Snow Place for this card and brought in the new Sweet Sugarplum In Color for the primary color for the card.

Flurry of Wishes 1st Xmas classYou’ll also see a sneak peek of a 3/8″ gorgeous Glitter Ribbon combo pack of Sweet Sugarplum and silver.  So beautiful!

A very quick card to put together with Sweet Sugarplum being the card base color and a layer of Whisper White.  We used the snowflake stamp from Snow Place.  We inked it up with Sweet Sugarplum classic ink and stamped off Snow Flurry punch.

We adhered the Sweet Sugarplum metallic ribbon around the Whisper White piece and popped it up on the card base with dimensionals.  The punched snowflakes are also mounted onto the card with dimensionals.  Basic rhinestones on the snowflakes completed the card.

SUPPLIES:

  • Stamps:  Flurry of Wishes, Snow Place
  • Paper:  Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White
  • Ink:  Sweet Sugarplum
  • Accessories:  Snow Flurry Punch, Sweet Sugarplum metallic ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

These items are all in the Annual Catalogue and available to purchase in my online store HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!  Thank goodness it is much cooler the past two days.

Stampin’ Up! Grateful Bunch

It’s always a treat when you can purchase a stamp set and co-ordinating punch and Grateful Bunch is one of those pairings.

I made this card for Kathleen’s birthday which is today – Happy Birthday, Kathleen!

Grateful Bunch

The card base is Flirty Flamingo cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″.  I used the smaller rectangle framelit from the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits dies to cut out the centre of the card.  The inside has a piece of Whisper White card stock cut 4″ x 5″ and stamped the leaf using Garden Green classic ink.  I stamped the flowers with Flirty Flamingo classic ink and punched out with the co-ordinating punch, shaped the flowers with the bone folder and adhered them to the leaf with glue dots.  Pearls were added to the two larger flowers. The butterfly is also from Grateful Bunch and the sentiment is from Balloon Celebrations both stamped in Flirty Flamingo classic ink.

Thanks for stopping by on this beautiful Saturday and happy stamping!

Balloon Celebrations

Well, the Occasions Catalogue has come and gone and I am only just opening this Balloon Celebrations stamp set.  Thank goodness it carried over to the current Annual Catalogue!

It is an excellent stamp set to feature the new In Colors which are so beautiful and I am very pleased that we’ll have them for the next two years.  I don’t think I have a favourite as they all so striking – Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Emerald Envy and Sweet Sugarplum.

Balloon CelebrationsThe card base is Dapper Denim cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″.  It card stock appears darker in the photo and IRL is not such a deep blue but rather like a denim color.  The first layer is Sweet Sugarplum cut 4″ x 5 1/4″ and the focal layer of Whisper White is 3 3/4″ x 5″.

There is a co-ordinating balloon punch and after stamping the Dapper Denim and Sweet Sugarplum balloons I punched them out with the larger balloon.  The others are stamped right onto the cardstock.  The strings for the balloon are stamped with Smoky Slate and the sentiment is from the SAB Party Pants stamp set.  You can also find this sentiment in Sunburst Sayings and Circle of Spring.   Funny how a particular font catches one’s eye with all the options for the same sentiment.

SUPPLIES:

  • Stamp Sets:  Balloon Celebrations, Party Pants
  • Card Stock:  Dapper Denim, Sweet Sugarplum, Whisper White
  • Ink:  Flirty Flamingo, Dapper Denim, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum, Emerald Envy, Smoky Slate
  • Accessories:  Balloon Bouquet Punch

Thanks for stopping by on another gorgeous day in South Surrey – happy stamping!
