HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ME!  Yes, I just celebrated my 13th year as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and along the way I’ve met and made so many wonderful people who share the same passion and the best thing of all is that we are now stamping friends for life!  Some have also taken the same step and have joined my team.  I believe I have the best team as we work together to achieve our goals.   I’ve enjoyed each year and looking forward to many more.

I received this delightful card from Stampin’ Up!

This is a new stamp set in the catalogue called Fabulous Flamingo.  It will be on my wish list!

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

Stamp Club Swaps

We had a fun day of stamping yesterday at our monthly stamp club and one of the best part s was the card swapping.  They are such talented stampers and I had to share their lovely creations with you.

Paulette used the Wetlands stamp set (gone after today!) for her swap.  I love the way she used a clear block to apply the color for the background.

Janet used the Lift Me Up stamp set and the Sale-A-Bration Carried Away DSP.  I love how she cut the DSP in the curved shapes.

This is Carole’s beautiful card in Sahara Sand  (one of her favourite color card stocks), Black and White to make this very detailed card.  She used the Flourish Framelits and Floral affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folders.

This is Tracy’s beautiful delicate card.  She used the So Detailed Thinlits (gone after today!) in Sweet Sugarplum card stock paired with the Blooms and Bliss DSP (gone after today!)

Brenda’s card reflected the beautiful weather we had on Monday – it was so hot it would have been nice to have been on the beach!  I love the detail in the shaker portion of the card.

I love the classic elegance of Roseanne’s card.  She used the leaf framelit from the Stylish Stems framelits and cut it out on the Whisper White card stock and backed it with the green card stock.  She cut the flower also from the Stylish Stems framelits and adered it to the Whisper White layer.

Thanks ladies for all your beautiful creations!

Avant Garden Meets Timeless Textures

Today’s cards are from one of my Stamp Club ladies, Paulette.  She brought them to our last class to share with us and they are truly beautiful, and I had to share with you.

Paulette combined the Avant Garden (SAB) and Timeless Textures stamp sets for this card.

And this Timeless Textures card.

Thank you for sharing them with us, Paulette!

Lift Me Up, Up and Away

Yesterday I shared a moving Tasty Truck and when I received the Lift Me Up bundle, I set out to make this card with the balloon going up, up and away!

Here we go!

And into the clouds!

Had fun making this card and hope you are enjoying it!  I used the Sale-A-Bration Carried Away Designer Series Paper for the card, choosing one of the plainer designs for the card.  It’s fabulous paper and will have to get another package or two before Sale-A-Bration ends at the end of the month!

2017 Occasions Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration – a Dragonfly Daydreams Card

20161007_occ17-cover_en-us

CLICK HERE for the Occasions Catalogue

sab_2017_usCLICK HERE for the Sale-A-Bration brochure

The new Occasions Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration is now in full operation!   Once a year we have Sale–A-Bration, the best stamping time of the year, where you can earn an exclusive product with a purchase (not including taxes and shipping) at no charge!

I believe that the Dragonfly Dreams bundle will the be one of the very popular bundles in the Occasions Catalogue – but then there are so many fantastic bundles!!!

I thought I’d go back into the archives and use an old technique that is very versatile.  It’s the shaving cream technique (and I still have the original can of shaving cream that I purchased many, many years ago!).

I cut some Whisper White card stock (5 1/4″ x 4″) and spread out a piece of wax paper.  I sprayed some shaving cream onto the wax paper and then add several drops of Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight and Pink Piroutte reinkers onto the shaving cream and then used a wooden stir stix to run it through the shaving cream and swirled it around.

shaving-creamI placed the Whisper White card stock on top of the shaving cream and pressed it lightly to pick up the shaving cream.  Using a chop stick, I then scraped off the excess.  There was so much shaving cream I was able to do two (actually I could have done abut half a dozen).

shaving-cream-samplesI trimmed the bottom piece down to 5″ x 3 3/4″ and then put it together for this card.

dragonfly-dreams-shaving-creamThe card base is Rich Razzleberry with a layer of Pink Pirouette.  I cut the dragonflies using Rich Razzleberry using Rich Razzleberry card stock and adhered it to the front of the card.  The sentiment from the set is stamped using Rich Razzleberry classic ink.  I added some shimmer onto the dragonflies with the clear Wink of Stella brush.

I have cut out more dragonflies on the other piece and will use it for some other cards.

Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Sleigh

When the Holiday Catalogue came out, I wasn’t too keen on this Santa’s Sleigh bundle, but as time goes on and you see some fabulous samples, it became a must have!  This is my first card using the bundle and I also had some Copper Foil and Copper Embossing Powder that hadn’t been used so it was a good opportunity to put them all together.

santas-sleigh-f

What do you think?  I love how the Copper Foil and Embossing Powder!  My base card is Soft Suede cut 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″.  The piece of Copper Foil is cut 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ and the Very Vanilla piece is 5 1/4″ x 4″.

I used the tree thinlit from the co-ordinating Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits die and cut it out from the centre of the 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece before layering the Very Vanilla piece over it.  It saves on the Copper Foil as no one sees the layered foil piece.  Great way to save on paper!

The Very Vanilla layer is rolled through the Big Shot using the Soft Falling Embossing Folder – it has been the most used embossing folder for my Christmas cards!  I next stamped the two trees with Versamark on the Very Vanilla and embossed with the Copper Embossing Powder – so beautiful!  The Copper Foil tree is popped up using dimensionals and I cut the tiny stars using the star thinlit from the same thinlit set and adhered with dimensionals.

I finished the card by stamping the sentiment from the set with Versamark and embossing with the Copper Embossing Powder.

This bundle is available for $59.25 with the stamp set in photopolymer (see page 24 of the Holiday Catalogue).

Stampin’ Up! OnStage Swaps

What a great time we had at OnStage over the weekend in Vancouver, BC.  Over 300 people were in attendance from across Canada and US.

onstage-2016-my-teamOne of the fun part of OnStage is the swaps!   It started as we were waiting in line to head into the conference room and I received so many beautiful cards.  One of the stamp sets from the Holiday Catalogue that I’ve grown to love is the Christmas Pines (it’s on sale until the end of November) and the co-ordinating Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies.  Please note:  Only the stamp set is on sale.

Here are some of the swaps using this beautiful set.  There is no name on the back so I don’t know who I got it from but it’s a beautiful card.

Here’s another with no name on it. Very pretty.

Karen Yeomans from Edmonton, AB made this gorgeous one using gold foil.

onstage-2016-swaps-christmas-pines-wgThis one is from Wendy Howse of Tisdale, Saskatchewan – a  full card and matching envelope! Beautiful!

onstage-2016-swaps-christmas-pines-full-cardWhile I do have the Christmas Pines/Pretty Pines Bundle, I haven’t even opened it yet!  So my swap was made using the Hang Your Stocking bundle.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Cupcakes Pop Up

These cards have been popping up all over so I had to give it a try and this is the result.  So sad that Watermelon Wonder will be leaving us next year as it’s a gorgeous color and that was the choice to make this card with the Sweet Cupcake Bundle.
