There are only two stamps in Floral Statements but I think that they pack such a statement with just those two.
I needed some thank you cards and this is one that I made using the Thanks stamp from the set. The card base is Pink Pirouette with a mat of Pear Pizzazz. Each time I use the Black Archival ink I am awestruck with the crispness of the black and always let out a “wow” when I pull the stamp away from the card stock. I colored the flowers with Pink Pirouette and the leaves with Pear Pizzazz markers and added a few of the retired dots.
When I first started with SU, one of the color combinations that I used a lot was Mossy Meadow and Pretty in Pink and I still think it’s a great combination with today’s shades of pink and green.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful stamping weekend.
A window card is a pretty and easy card to make and today’s card uses the Artistically Asian stamp set.
You only need two pieces of card stock cut 4 1/4″ x 5″ and score at 1/2″, 1″, 4 1/2″ and 5″ on both pieces. I stamped the bamboo image using Versamark on the Peekaboo Peach card stock piece to give it a subtle background.
Use the 2 1/2″ Circle punch and centre it on the Peekabook Peach piece and put the card stock right to the bottom of the circle. The reason for putting right to the edge of the circle is that I wanted to stamp the sentiment towards the bottom. (You could just centre the punch in the centre of the card stock).
I flipped the piece over so that there was more space at the bottom of the card stock to stamp the sentiment.
Position the Peach card stock over the Whisper White card stock and gently mark the outer rim of the circle to give you a visual to stamp your image. After stamping the image, erase the pencil marks.
I inked up the image with Peekaboo Peach and Old Olive markers and huffed on it before stamping on the card stock. The sentiment is stamped with Old Olive classic ink and pearls were added to complete the card.
Fold on the score marks on both pieces of card stock and adhere the edges with Tear and Tape. Bend the score lines to create a window effect.
Thanks for stopping by today and happy stamping!
Happy 150th Birthday Canada! So proud to be Canadian.
Enjoy the Canada Day weekend!
At our stamping event, my friend, Janet, demonstrated two fantastic cards. For the first one she showed us the basket weave technique and used the Graceful Garden stamp set and co-ordinating Petal Garden Designers Series Paper Stack.
With the return of the Glossy White card stock, Janet’s second card featured the polished stone technique. The card base is Fresh Fig. The reinkers she used to create the polished stone effect was Pink Pirouette and Fresh Fig with the gold metallic. She finished the card with the dragonfly and a Swirly Scribbles thinlit.
Thanks so much Janet for two wonderful demonstrations!
We had a lot of mom and daughter attendees and here they are.
and Maxine, one of my team members.
Thanks for stopping by on this beautiful day before the long Canada Day weekend. Happy stamping!
We held our last Stampers Club for this session until the fall on Monday and we made this buckle card with the daisy punch and Delightful Daisy DSP.
Do you notice the coloration on the front of the card? The Designer Series Papers this year looks faded, however, it was intentional to provide a color wash look.
It’s been a while that I made a buckle card so it was fun to make.

My team and I held our Step into Summer stamping event on Saturday. What a great time we had and the weather was very summery in Metro Vancouver as it was a hot, hot, hot day. How appropriate was that for our event.
Along with the projects, we had prize patrol, wow demonstrations, lots of displays (of which I totally forgot to take pictures!), refreshments, prize baskets, table treats and a card swap. Everyone had a great time and left with 6 projects.
This was one of the favourites and I’ll be sharing some of the others in the next few days but I need to put the finishing touches to the projects for Stamp Club today.
Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping.
Tabs for Everything was one of the sets we received at OnStage earlier this year. I really didn’t see how I would use it until I received the current issue of Stampin’ Success that featured this set. It comes as a bundle with the new Circle Tab Punch.
I made this mini pizza box with the set for my Open House last weekend.
And I cased the note cards that were in the magazine.
The punch is just too cute.
Some great uses for the Circle Tab punch are:
- Make tabs for the catalogue for the different categories
- Punch out the color of card stock you use on a section of the stamping sponges and staple it to the sponge so it identifies the ink color you are using. We used to have the tab punch that served the same purpose.
- Use it as a pull tab on your various projects
- Stamps: Tabs for Everything (Bundle with Circle Tab Punch #145364 – $40)
- Paper: Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Subtles DSP
- Ink: Pool Party, Powder Pink, Island Indigo, Wisteria Wonder,Black Archival
- Accessories: Circle Tab Punch, Layering Circles Framelits, Dimensionals, Retired Twine

So happy that Dragonfly Dreams is in the new Annual Catalogue. Today’s card uses a watercolor technique shared by Cindee Wilkinson.
The card base is Tangerine Tango cut 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″. Cut the watercolor paper to 3″ x 4″. Spritz the paper with water and then use a clear block to pick up the ink directly from the ink pad. Apply the ink from the block onto the paper and repeat this using various colors. For this card, I used Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry and Tangerine Tango.
As the paper is wet, the ink will spread out when you apply it with the block. Repeat as often as you want to get the coverage you are pleased with and spritz the paper again if you want to spread the ink around. This will take a few minutes to dry or you can use your heat tool to speed up the drying process.
This watercolor piece is layered onto a piece of Rich Razzleberry cut 3 1/8″ x 4 1/8″. Adhere it to the card front with dimensionals. I rolled the dragonfly using the framelit on Rich Razzleberry card stock. Trim down the edges of the dimensional sheet to attach to the spine of the dragonfly and adhere to the watercolored piece. I washed the dragonfly with Wink of Stella which gives it a slight sheen. Add some rhinestones and stamp the sentiment using Black Archival ink and your card is done!
