Sunrise Sailing

Sunrise Sailing is a great stamp bundle for sailing enthusiasts. There is a stamp set, co-ordinating dies and a 3D hybrid embossing folder that produces great embossed images of clouds, birds, clouds, water and of the course the sailboat.

Here’s the card I made with the bundle paired with the Everyday Arches dies. The arch dies are so versatile and if they’re not part of your stamp collection, I highly recommend that you add them to your inventory.

The card base is Basic White 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″. The Night of Navy card stock is cut 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″. I used the 6th largest Everyday Arches die and centred it on the Night of Navy panel and die cut the arch.

I cut a piece of Basic White 3 1/4″ x 4 1/8″ and centred it in the Hybrid embossing folder to get the impression of the sail boat and ran it through the Cut ‘n Emboss machine.

I coloured the water using Light and Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the pattern on the sails with Real Red classic ink. Next, the boat is die cut using Real Red card stock and adhered to the image. Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends is used to colour the cabin of the boat.

I centred the Basic White panel in the arch opening of the Night of Navy panel lining up the clouds and birds and adhered it to the panel. This panel is then adhered to the Basic White card base. The sentiment is stamped using Night of Navy classic ink on a scrap of Basic White and cropped to a small flag and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
