Marbled Elegance Screen Divider Card

Taking a little trip down memory lane and finding a layout of a card to share with you. It’s a screen divider card using the colourful Marbled Elegance Specialty Designer Series paper that first appeared last year. And it’s currently on the Last Chance List!

The specialty dsp was introduced during the beginning of last year for Valentine themed cards and I thought it would fun to make a festive holiday themed card too.

On the back of the card I added two panels of Basic White for writing the message.

Here are the cutting instructions:

• Cherry Cobbler
  • Card Base: 5 1/2″ x 11, score at 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″, 8 1/4″, or score at 2 3/4″ at both ends and 5 1/2″ in the middle, whatever way that is easier to remember
  • Sentiment piece: scrap for die cut
• Gold Foil
  • Panels for screens: 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ – cut 4
• Basic White:
  • Sentiment panels at back: 2 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ – cut 2
  • Sentiment: scrap for die cut
• Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP
  • Front panels: 2 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ – cut 4
  • Back strips on Basic White: 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ – cut 2

To assemble the card, I used the To the Point punch to cut out the “legs” on the screen. Place the tip of the punch about 1″ from the bottom, centre in the first section and punch. For the remaining 3 sections, you can fold the first panel over and make a pencil mark at the top of the tip and punch. Repeat this step for the remaining two panels.

Apply Multipurpose Glue to the back of the DSP panels and adhere to the Gold Foil pieces. Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of Basic White and die cut using the smaller rounded rectangle die from the Traditional Labels dies. Use the larger die to die cut a scrap of Cherry Cobbler card stock. Add dimensionals on the stamped sentiment piece and adhere to the Cherry Cobbler die cut. Add dimensionals to the back of the focal image and adhere to second panel. I then added some of the green sequins from the Traditional Sparkling Sequins on each of the panels as well as on the focal image.

Adhere the two Basic White panels on the back of the card and add a 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ strip of the DSP to each panel.
