One of the offerings in this year’s Sale-A-Bration is the lovely A Touch of Ink stamp set. I was fortunate to receive this set as my OnStage prize patrol from last year.
I made today’s card using the specialty papers from the Love You Always suite, the Love You Always Foil Sheets and the Love You Always Specialty Designer Series Paper.
I started with a Rococo Rose card base, added a mat of Smoky Slate and Love You Always Specialty DSP. I stamped the outline image of the butterfly with full strength Rococo Rose classic ink and then stamped the solid image with Rococo Rose classic ink after stamping off. I cut it out with a circle from the Layering Circles dies and then popped it up on a scallop circle from the Layering Circles dies with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I wrapped some Whisper White Twine around the Smoky Slate and DSP mats and secured with tape then popped up the focal image with dimensionals and added a few of the retired Noble Peacock rhinestones to complete the card.
On the inside of the card I added a mat of Smoky Slate, then Whisper White and a strip of the Love You Always Specialty DSP.
Rococo Rose is one of the In Colors that will be retiring this year and if this is one of your favourite colors (it is one of mine), be sure to stock up now and not be disappointed when it retires in a few months.
Measurements for the card:
- Card Base: Rococo Rose 4 1/4″ 11″, score at 5 1/2″
