SUMMARY:Betwitching Slide and Lock Gatefold Card
DESCRIPTION:Just a week away from Halloween so I couldn’t resist not making a card to celebrate the occasion.  The Bewitching bundle includes the Witch Hat Builder punch and it was the punch that caught my eye for this bundle. \nI made the card using the Slide and Lock Gatefold layout as it’s been a while I have used this layout. The punch also punches out some stars and the hat band.  I also got a chance to use the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper. \n \nHere’s the inside of the card where I stamped the spider and some stars. \n \nCutting Instructions: \n\nPumpkin Pie: 4 1/4″ x 11″\, score at 2 3/4″ and 8 1/4″ for card base.  After scoring the card base\, trim off 1/16″ on each side.  This provides some space between the opening so that the slide and lock piece can move easily on and off the card.\nSlide and Lock Mechanism:  Pumpkin Pie:  2 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ (cut 4)\nPanels:  Basic Black:  2 5/8″ x 4 1/8″ (cut 2) for front panels; 2 5/8″ x 3 3/8″ for front slide and lock; scraps to punch out stars\nBasic White:  4″ x 5 1/4″ for inside; 2 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ for focal image; 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ to stamp hat\nGingham Cottage DSP:  Pumpkin squares design – 2 1/2″ x 4 (cut 2)\n\nAssembling the card: \nWhen stamping a solid image like the hat and feet\, a Stamparatus is recommend to achieve a solid inking.  I inked up my images 3 times to achieve a crisp black image for the hat and feet. \n\nAssemble the front panels with the Basic Black and DSP Panels and adhere to each side of the gatefold\nStamp sentiment\, stars and spider on 4 ” x 5 1/4″ Basic White panel and adhere to inside of card\nStamp hat image and color with Stampin’ Blends using Black Memento ink and punch out with the Witch Hat Builder punch (Recommend using Stamparatus)\nOn Basic White focal image panel\, stamp feet using Black Memento ink (Recommend using Stamparatus) and color with Stampin’ Blends\nAdhere hat with Stampin’ Dimensionals; adhere stars\nAssemble the layers for the focal image\nSlide and Lock Mechanism – take two of the 2 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ pieces and fold in half vertically (folding the 2 3/4″ side over so that the piece is about 1 3/8″ x 3 1/2″.  Add adhesive on the back of one of them and adhere onto the last slide & lock panel with the open side facing out.  Repeat with the other piece so that you will end up with two open side facing out.  Adhere the focal panel on top.\nAdd the mechanism between the front panels which will slide onto each side of the mechanism.\n\n Product List  \n\n\n\n\n \n\nBewitching Bundle (English)\n[159857]\n$46.75\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nPumpkin Pie 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock\n[105117]\n$12.75\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nBasic Black 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock\n[121045]\n$12.75\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nBasic White 8 1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock\n[159276]\n$14.00\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nGingham Cottage 12″ X 12″ (30\,5 X 30\,5 Cm) Designer Series Paper\n[159651]\n$41.00\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nStamparatus\n[146276]\n$67.00\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nTuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad\n[132708]\n$8.25\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nOrchid Oasis Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack\n[159223]\n$12.25\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nPumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack\n[154897]\n$12.25\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nMultipurpose Liquid Glue\n[110755]\n$5.50\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nStampin’ Dimensionals\n[104430]\n$6.00\n\n\n\n\n\n The Clearance Rack has some great product at discounts up to 60% off the regular price.  Be sure to stop in my online store to check those out and also the products to make today’s card share. \nThanks for stopping by and happy crafting! \n \n  \n
