Happy Easter with Storybook Friends

Easter Greetings with Storybook Friends! This is the cutest suite of products for Easter, Spring, and many other occasions and I couldn’t resist making today’s card to share with you for a sweet Easter card some of the products. I used the book binding layout for the card.

I started with a Coral Calypso card base and added Pebble Path card stock for the accent panels. Pebble Path is one of the retiring 2023-2025 In Colors that will be going away at the beginning of May. I used one of the Calypso Coral plaid 6″ x 6″ sheet from the Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP that is part of the suite for the accent DSP.

In the Storybook Moments 12″ x 12″ DSP, there are two sheets of stickers that are die cut and so easy to select the one that will work with your card. I die cut one of the frames from the Storybook Friends dies using Calypso Coral card stock. The centre of the frame is cut out and can be used for another project. Around the edges of the die cut frame are slits where you can ribbon can be added if desired. There are three fantastic frames in these dies.

I used the plaid side for the focal point on the card and used the reverse side on the book binding section of the left hand side of the card. I wrapped some Linen Thread over the narrow panel and tied a bow and then adhered it to the right section.

On the focal panel, the dsp is adhered to the Pebbled Path square of card stock. The frame is adhered with Multipurpose glue and the sticker is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals in the centre of the frame.

I used a piece of Petal Pink card stock to die cut one of the frame dies from Mixed Label Dies and stamped the sentiment from the Storybook Friends stamp set on it. It is adhered to the focal panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Mixed Label Dies is another set of dies that have some excellent frames for smaller sentiments and I just love them.

  • Card Base: 4 1/4″ by 11″, score at 4 1/4″ and 5 1/2″
  • Frame: 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″
• Pebbled Path:
  • Small Panel: 1″ x 4″
  • Focal Panel: 4″ x 4″
• Petal Pink:
  • Sentiment: 1 1/4″ x 2 1/4″
• Basic White:
  • Inside: 4″ x 4″
• Timeless Plaid DSP:
  • Plaid DSP: 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ (checkered pattern side)
  • Plaid DSP: 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ (plaid pattern side)
  • Plaid DSP: 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ for inside of card

With the retirement of the 2023-2025 In Colors, Copper Clay, Boho Blue, Moody Mauve, Pebbled Path and Wild Wheat, be sure to get them before they go. Wild Wheat is a beautiful colour that has a gold hue and can substitute for gold foil in your projects. It will be sad to see them go.
