Thoughtful Expressions in Moody Mauve

Today’s card features the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set and dies for a flap card.

I used Moody Mauve cardstock for the card, accented with Bubble Bath cardstock and co-ordinated it with the Poetic Expressions Designer Series Paper which is part of the Suite.

The card base is a quarter piece of Moody Mauve card stock, cut 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. I cut a piece of Bubble Bath cardstock 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored it at 4 1/4″ to create the flap portion of the card. The flap piece is then adhered to the centre of the card base. I cut a piece of the Designer Series Paper 3 1/4″ x 4″ and adhered to the front portion of the flap.

I die cut a scalloped circle on Basic White using the second largest scallop circle die from the Layering Circles dies. It was then embossed with the Softly Sophisticated embossing folder. This embossing folder is part of the Softly Sophisticated Bundle offered as a Level 2 item in the Sale-A-Bration brochure.

I stamped the hummingbird image on a piece of Basic White cardstock. I used the Moody Mauve Stampin’ Write marker and Bubble Bath light and dark Stampin’ Blends for the body of the hummingbird. I used light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend for the bill and light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend for the eye. I cut with the hummingbird die and popped it up on the scallop circle.

I used some retired Pink Pirouette (so retired!) ribbon and wrapped it around the top portion of the flap. The focal image was then popped onto the card front. I added a few of the Bubble Bath gems from the 4 Pack Tinsel gems. The Thank You sentiment is from the Go to Greetings stamp set. It is stamped on a scrap of Bubble Bath card stock and then cut with the smallest rectangle Perennial Postage die. It is also popped up with Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Basic White card stock 3 1/4″ x 4″ and stamped one of the flower images from the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set using Memento Black ink and colored the image with Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend and Light Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blend
