Who Can Resist Penguins?

Penguin Place is just one of the adorable new stamp sets in the July-December, 2021 Mini Catalogue and I just couldn’t resist when I saw it. This stamp set comes as a bundle with the Penguin Builder Punch. Today’s card is a fun fold using these products. Isn’t it just too cute?

I started with a card base of Misty Moonlight and added panels of the co-ordinaing Penguin Playmates DSP. With the Penguin Builder punch, I punched out one of the penguin images from a sheet of the DSP. Fold the card stock in half at the 5 1/2″ score line and then fold at the 2 3/4″ fold and fold back towards the left.

I die cut a Misty Moonlight Stitched So sweetly rectangle. To this rectangle I die cut a smaller rectangle from the new Snowy White Velvet sheets available in the Mini Catalogue. After die cutting the penguin, I popped it up on the two panels with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the balloons with Fresh Freesia and Soft Seafoam classic ink on Whisper White card stock and used the retired Balloon punch to punch them out. You can also stamp the images and fussy cut with your Paper Snips. Add adhesive to the left side of your focal image and adhere to the folded panel. Next I added Stampin’ Dimensionals on the balloons and two lengths of Linen Thread to each of the balloons and attached them the penguin’s hand

The sentiments are stamped with Misty Moonlight classic ink with the Happy Birthday greeting die cut with the small frame from the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

Card Measurements:

• Misty Moonlight: Card Base – 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″; scrap for die cut
• Penguin Playmates DSP: 2 1/2″ x 4 1/8″ (2 pieces of alternate design); 2 5/8″ x 4 1/8″ for right panel
• Whisper White (Basic White): 2 5/8″ x 4 1/8″ for inside panel; scraps for front sentiment and balloons
• Snowy White Velvet Sheet: 2″ x 3″ for die cut
