Artisan Sketched Garden Double Vision Card

I love the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper that in the current May – August catalogue as it is a package of black and white designer paper. I made this double vision card with one of the sheets where I added a bit of colour with some Stampin’ Blends.

The card base is Basic Black cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″ I trimmed down a sheet of the designer paper that has the vases with flowers and leaves to 3″ x 5″. I added colour to the images with various Stampin’ Blends (see products used below). The focal image is then cut into 1/2″ strips. I adhered the first strip starting on the left onto a piece of 3″ x 5″ Basic Black cardstock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I laid the second strip next to the first (without any adhesives – placing it next to the first strip ensures that all the strips are properly placed) then adhered the third strip with adhesive across the Basic Black panel and continued on until all the pieces were placed. I removed the second strip that and added Stampin’ Dimensionals to it and then replaced it back into position. This is continued with the alternate strips (4th, 6th, 8th and 10th). This provides the “double vision”.

The focal image is then adhered to a 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Bubble Bath card stock and adhered to the card base leaving a 1/8″ margin at the top of the card. Next I ran the embossing buddy from the Embossing Additions Took kit across the bottom right of the card. The sentiment from the Words of Beauty stamp set is stamped with Versamark ink. Next sprinkle some of the white embossing powder from the Basics Wow! Embossing powders. Be sure to remove any wisps of embossing powder around the sentiment with the crafting brush from the Embossing Additions Tool Kit then set the embossing powder with the Heat Tool. I added several pink Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots around the sentiment and on the focal image.
