Finally an Asian themed stamp set from Stampin’ Up! There has not been one for well over 10 years and I was so happy to see this Artistically Asian stamp set in the Annual Catalogue I would be even more happy if they had a set that has “Thank you” in the Chinese characters or even the words, Hsieh, Hsieh – how about a stamp set of Thank Yous in various languages? French, English, German, Chinese, Spanish? Would you like to see that?
Anyway, enough of that and here’s my Artistically Asian card.
I used Mint Macaron as the card base, cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″ The first layer is Tip Top Taupe cut 5 1/4″ x 4″ and the background piece of Mint Macaron is cut 5″ x 3 3/4″.
I stamped the bamboo image randomly using Mint Macaron classic ink – after inking it, I stamped it off to give a lighter shade on the panel.
The focal piece is stamped on Whisper White using Flirty Flamingo, Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron markers to ink up the image. The words are stamped in Tip Top Taupe. It is then cut out using the Layering Squares framelits and then matted onto a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock cut with the scallop edge Layering Squares framelits.
I attached a length of Flirty Flamingo Ruched ribbon around the two panels and then popped up the focal image on dimensionals.
