The black ice technique is very popular right now. At our last team meeting, we got a chance to try it out and we made this card using this technique and had a lot of fun while giving it a try.
This is also a sneak peek at a very delightful stamp set coming in the Annual Catalogue in June called Animal Outing. We used Basic Gray for the card base. Cut a piece of silver foil 3″ x 3 1/2″ and applied the Black Archival ink in strokes across the silver foil. You can also use Black Stazon ink. We stamped the image and sentiment and to ensure the ink was dry, ran the heat tool over it. We next applied Versamark very gently over the Silver Foil piece and then sprinkled Clear Embossing powder over it and heated with the heat tool.
We layered it over a Basic Black panel and added some retired DSP to the bottom of the card.
Thanks for stopping by on another beautiful day in Lotusland – happy crafting!
