Cards for enclosing Gift Cards for gift giving are very easy and quick to make. The measurements are provided below.
I made several using assorted Designer Papers and here are two of them. This one used the Take a Bow 6″ x 6″ DSP. I decorated the front of the card with a tree die cut from the Decorative Trees dies. I die cut the large tree on Basic White and the overlay in Basic Red card stock. The overlay was for a smaller tree and after adhering the overlay to the Basic White tree, I trimmed it down. I die cut a Deckled Rectangle in Basic White and popped up the tree using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from Decorative Trees with Real Red classic ink and added the red embellishments from the Wonderful Gems package of embellishments. I used a Small Blending Brush to add some color using Old Olive classic ink.

For this card I used the Regal Distressed Designer Series Paper on a Pretty Peacock card base. I found some foil paper in my stash that co-ordinated well with the color of the leaves in the DSP and used it to die cut the circle from the Spotlight on Nature dies to decorate the front of the card. I’m afraid I don’t remember the name of the foil but it is a great match. The sentiment from the Greetings of Season stamp set is stamped on Pretty Peacock card stock using Pretty Peacock classic ink. The Regal Foiled Adhesive Backed Dots are part of the Regal Winter suite embellishments.

The cutting instructions are:
- Card Base: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ score at 1 1/2″ and 5 1/2″
- Designer Series Paper: 6 1/4″ x 4″. On the 6 1/4″ side, cut one at 3 3/4″, then cut 2 1 1/4″ strips from the remainder of the DSP
- Adhere the 3 3/4″ x 4″ DSP to the card front
- Adhere one of the 1 1/4″ strips to the folded portion of the card front
- Adhere the remaining 1 1/4″ strips to the right side of the card front
- On the folded piece of card stock, add Tear & Tape on each side. Using a 1″ circle punch place it in the middle of the folded card stock . Remove backing of Tear & Tape and seal. This will provide the pocket for the gift card
- Decorate the front of the cards as desired.
The supplies used for the red Gift Card are listed up to the Small Blending Brushes and the supplies used for the Pretty Peacock Gift Card starts with the Greetingss of the Season stamp set.
