Reaching back again for cards from years ago and recall making these flower pot cards. Daisy Lane is the perfect stamp set for a flower pot card and today’s share.
I started with Crumb Cake to make the flower pot, cutting the card stock 3 1/2″ x 9″. It is scored at 3 1/2″ and 7″. After folding on the score lines, I marked the bottom of the pot (on the 3 1/2″ score mark) at 1/2″ on both sides. I drew a pencil line from the 7″ score line to the 1/2″ mark on both sides and cut away the sides with a pair of scissors.
I inked up the Birch background stamp with Crumb Cake and stamped one side of the flower pot. Using a retired scallop edge punch, I punched the 2″ section of the card and then sponged the edges with Crumb Cake classic ink. On the reverse side, I added two glue dots at the 7″ fold to secure the lower portion of the card.
To create the insert, cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock 4 1/2″ x 2 3/8″ and mat with a piece of Whisper White card stock cut 4 1/4″ x 2 1/8″. I used the Medium Daisy punch and punched out daisies in Purple Posy, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape and assembled them and adding a Gold Faceted Gems to the centre of the daisies.
Arrange the daisies and adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals at the top of the insert. Position the bottom flowers to drape over the top of the flower pot and that the total length is 5 1/2″ tall to fit into a regular size envelope. I punched out some leaves using the Leaf punch from Granny Apple Green card stock.
The card is completed with a length of 1/2″ Purpose Posy Scalloped Linen ribbon wrapped around the 2″ piece of card stock and blinged up with more of the Gold Faceted Gems. This piece of card stock is adhered to the flower pot with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
