A pop out gatefold card using the Easter Bunny stamp set in colors I’ve always associated with Easter, shades of purple, yellow and pink.
I started with a typical gatefold card stock cut, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and scored at 2 1/8″ on both ends of the card stock. Score at 4 1/4″ which creates the pop out for the card. Prepare the front panels of the gatefold with Gorgeous Grape card stock, cut two at 2″ x 5 3/8″ and polka dot pattern DSP from the Dandy Designs DSP, cut two at 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere to the two front gatefold panels.
Cut four panels of DSP for the inside of the card each measuring 2″ x 5 3/8″, two using the plaid pattern and two with the square pattern. Adhere the two plaid pattern DSP to the outer panels on the inside of the card.
Cut a strip of Fresh Freesia card stock measuring 1″ x 5 1/8″ and scored at 1/2″ on both ends. I used liquid glue on the two end tabs and adhered it to the middle of the card.
After adhering this strip across the middle of the card stock, adhere the two pieces of DSP in the square pattern by sliding them behind the two tabs.
Next, cut a piece of Fresh Freesia 1″ x 3″ and scored it at 1/2″, 1″, 2″ and 2 1/2″. Fold this strip at each of the scored line and form it in an anvil shape. I die cut a piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock using the second largest scallop circle die from the Layering Circle dies and then embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. Add adhesive to the top of the anvil shape mechanism and attach the scallop circle die. Stamp the bunny on a piece of the polka dot DSP then punch out with the Easter Bunny punch and pop it onto the scallop circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Cut a piece of Gorgeous Grape 1 3/4″ x 9 1/2″ to make a belly band. Wrap the belly band around the card and adhere ends with adhesive. Die cut a piece of Fresh Freesia using the label die from Something Fancy and a Basic White one using the smaller label die. Stamp sentiment and add some small flowers and leaves also from the Something Fancy dies. A small Brass Butterfly completes the sentiment panel which is adhered to the front of the belly band.
