Free as a Bird Panel Card

While this was one of the first stamp sets when the Annual Catalogue was released, this is only the second card that I’ve made with it. I think I saw so many cards during the preorder period that I hesitated in using the set but I’m glad I finally got the set out to make today’s card share.

I love the corresponding Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper as well with many colorful images of birds.

The card base is Pool Party cut in the regular A2 size. The Whisper White panel is 4″ x 5 1/4″ and the 3 pieces of DSP are cut 1 1/2″ x 5″, 2 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ and 2 1/2″ x 1 7/16″. I stamped the bird using Memento Black ink on a scrap of Whisper White and colored it in with Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake Blends.

I next punched out the image using the 2 3/8″ scallop circle punch and sponged the edges with Pool Party classic ink. It is mounted on a 2 1/2″ Circle with dimensionals.

The sentiment is cut out using the smallest of the Stitched Nested Labels which form the bundle with the Free as a Bird stamp set. I popped it on with a dimensional to the focal image to complete the card.
