Friends Are Like Seashells

Friends Are Like Seashells is a beautiful stamp set that I find hard to put down. It is part of the Sand & Sea suite in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue and among the items in the suite are the Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle (Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set and Seaside Seashells Dies), Seashells 3D Embossing Folder, Opal Rounds, Seaside Shells, Pearlescent Specialty Paper and Sand & Sea DSP.

Using the stamp set, dies, embossing folder and pearlescent specialty paper produces a beautiful project.

I used Blushing Bride for the card base, Very Vanilla for the mat and sentiment piece. I cut the die from the Pearlescent Specialty Paper and stamped the various shells using Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Seaside Spray and So Saffron classic ink. The leaves are colored with the Light Granny Apple Stampin’ Blend.

After coloring the image, I placed it in the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder as it fits perfectly in the folder and then rolled it through the Stampin’ Emboss & Cut Machine.

After embossing the Very Vanilla layer with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder, I adhered the die cut using Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals to the layer.

I cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and a piece of Blushing Bride card stock using a die from the Tasteful Label dies. The sentiment is stamped with Soft Suede classic ink. I cut the Blushing Bride piece in half and adhered it to the Very Vanilla piece. The sentiment is popped up on Dimensionals. To complete the card I made a bow using the Blushing Bride twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack and attached it with a glue dot.

Card Measurements:

• Blushing Bride: Card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″, scrap for sentiment
• Pearlescent Specialty Paper: 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ for die cut
• Very Vanilla: 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″, scrap for sentiment
