I chose an Offset Gatefold for today’s card and used Hand-Penned Petals stamp set and Hand-Penned DSP for the card. The usual gatefold card has two equal folds for the front of the card. On an offset gatefold you change the measurements for the score lines and it makes for an interesting fold. You can choose to have the smaller fold on the left side as I have done with today’s card, or you can flip it to have the other side on the right.
I used Mint Macaron for the card base with panels of Basic White and the Hand-Penned DSP. I used the Tasteful Label dies for the two bottom layers for the sentiment piece and cut the small oval from the Double Oval punch. The Tasteful Label dies are retiring and will be gone when the new Annual Catalogue comes out at the beginning of May. They are currently on sale at 20% off. Regular price $42 discounted to $33.60. They are a great set of dies with many different shapes for labels.
On the inside of the card I added a panel of Basic White with a small strip of the DSP across the bottom and stamped two of the little flowers from the stamp set in Pale Papaya.
- Mint Macaron: Card Base – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 1 1/2″ and 5 3/4″, scrap for sentiment die
- Basic White: Inside Panel – 4″ x 5 1/4″, Side Panels – 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ and 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ and scrap for oval sentiment
- Hand-Penned DSP: Side Panels – 1 1/8″ x 5 1/8″ and 2 3/8″ x 5 1/8″, scrap for sentiment die
Save 10% on the Hand-Penned bundle at $63.75 (stamps and die set). When the new Annual Catalogue is live, they will be sold separately. If this has been on your Wish List, this is a great time to get those 10% savings.
