The Handsomely Suited bundle is a fun bundle to make all kinds of cards featuring shirt and suit cards. I decided to make a more formal card for today’s share and feature a black tie jacket.
It was fun making this card using several different dies. I used Whisper White for the card base, Basic Black for the jacket and black glitter paper for the lapels, bow tie and the buttons. I cut out three strips of the long stitched die to form the front of the shirt and the buttons was one die that cut out the six buttons.
I also thought it was timely to be making this black tie card as each year I co-ordinate a black tie dinner about this time, however, with the pandemic, the dinner was unable to be held last year. After several reschedulings, it is still not able to proceed. It has again been rescheduled for the fall and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we will be able to go ahead.
Card Measurements:
- Whisper White: Card base: 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″, scraps for 3 stitched panels and collar
- Black Glitter paper: 3 1/2″ x 5″ for lapels. Use the v shape piece after cutting out the lapels to cute the bow tie and the buttons.
This Handsomely Suited bundle is timeless and available with a 10% discount in the January – June, 2021 Mini catalogue.
