Healing Hugs

This is an absolutely beautiful stamp set!   It has the shading already on the stamp and when I stamped the first image, I was overtaken by the beauty of it.  I had initially planned to use the baby wipe technique and after several takes, decided to just stamp it with a single color and what a pleasant surprise.  I love it!

When Poppy Parade was first introduced a few years ago, it wasn’t one of my favorites but this card has changed my mind and I love the beautiful richness of the color.

I used the masking technique and stamped the image onto a sticky note and cut it out for the mask.

SUPPLIES:

• Stamps:  Healing Hugs, #146530 (CM) $29, #146527 (WM) $39
• Paper:  Whisper White, Call Me Clover
• Ink:  Poppy Parade, Call Me Clover
• Accessories:  Paper Snips, Sticky Note

LET’S MAKE IT:

• Stamp the image on a sticky note (close to the top to get the sticky part of the note) and cut it out for the mask.  Make two.
• Stamp the first image on Whisper White 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8 on the lower left
• Place the mask over the stamped image and stamp the second one, placing it slightly on the sticky note
• Place the two masks over the flowers and stamp the leaf in Call me Clover
• Stamp flower in upper corner
• Stamp sentiment and adhere to Call Me Clover card stock 3 3/4″ x 5″
• Adhere layered mats onto Whisper White card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
