These quadrangle cards are so easy to make and once you cut your 6″ x 6″ DSP, you have the basis for 4 cards and you can place the pieces in various positions on your card base. At a recent class, we made this “Hers” card.
We used a piece of the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper for the quadrangle. It is placed over a So Saffron mat and adhered to a Pool Party card base.
For the “His” card I used the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper for the quadrangle.
The card base is Smoky Slate with a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ panel of Smoky Slate embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder over the front of the card base. The DSP is placed on a Whisper White mat. I punched out a piece of Early Espresso card stock using the Tailored Tag punch. I cut it in half horizontally to create a mat for the Whisper White sentiment also punched from the Tailored Tag punch. The sentiment is from the Handsomely Suited stamp set. I added some retired dots to the sentiment and popped it up on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To create the quadrangle pieces, take a piece of 6″ x 6″ of designer paper. Make a pencil mark at 1 1/2″ on all four sides. Place in Paper Trimmer and line up one of the pencil marks in the gutter and line up the opposite mark in the gutter and cut. Place the horizontal side of the cut piece and line it up with the 1 1/2″ mark on the opposite side of the designer paper which is positioned in the gutter and cut. Repeat for the second piece and you have 4 quadrangle pieces.
I made the mat by placing a piece of the quadrangle onto a piece of card stock lining it up so that there is a 1/8″ margin on all sides. Next draw pencil lines to create the mat and trim.
