Here is a dutch door card I made recently. Isn’t it cute?
I started with a card base of Real Red card stock, 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ with strips of the retired Botanical Butterfly DSP. After stamping one of the ladybug images on Whisper White, I punched it with the retired 1 3/4″ Circle Punch. The Basic Black is punched with the 2″ Circle Punch and the Real Read is punched with the retired 2 3/8″ Scallop Punch. I used Sahara Sand, Daffodil Delight, Real Red and retired Blush Stampin’ Markers to color the ladybug.
Cut a piece of Real Red card stock 2 1/4″ x 11″ and score at 5 1/2″ for the flap.
I cut two strips of the Botanical Butterfly DSP, one for the front flap and the other for the top of the card base.
On the Real Red card base adhere one of the DSP strips at the top and the Whisper White card stock piece at the bottom. Add the Basic Black strip to tie them together.
Attach the flap to the lower part of the card base, by adhering it to the flap just before the score line. Add the other piece of DSP to the front flap.
The ladybug focal piece is adhered to the flap with dimensionals. I flagged the Real Red sentiment strip with my Paper Snips and adhered to the flap with dimensionals.
Cutting Instructions:
- Real Red 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base, 2 1/2″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″ for flap, scrap for scallop circle punch
- Whisper White 2″ x 5 1/4″, scrap for ladybug image
- Basic Black 1/2″ x 5 1/4″, scrap for 2″ circle punch
- DSP two pieces 2″ x 5 1/4″
