The January-June Mini Catalogue is just a few days away from being live and the Love & Happiness Bundle is one of the adorable Valentine sets featured in the catalogue. The Love & Happiness bundles includes the Bouquet of Love Hybrid embossing folder and Bouquet of Love dies.
I made today’s card using those items as well as one of the subtle Designer Series Papers from the Sweet Talk Designer Series paper.
The card base is Blushing Bride and I chose the hinge card template for the card. I embossed the Whisper White piece with the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder, placing the heart die from the largest Bouquet of Love heart die in the embossing folder before running it through the Cut & Emboss machine. With the die in the embossing folder, it cuts out the heart – so neat! I then colored the flowers on the heart with Light Granny Apple Green, Light Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends and Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Marker. I then applied Blushing Bride ink on the edges of the heart with a Sponge Dauber.
The sentiment is stamped with Blushing Bride and die cut with a smaller heart also from the Bouquet of Love dies. I used retired Petal Pink Vellum to cut out the three flowers from the same die set. The small heart is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the flowers are adhered with Glue Dots. Polished Dots were placed in the centre of the flowers.
A strip of Sweet Talk DSP is adhered to the hinge portion of the card and wrapped with a length of Blushing Bride Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon.
For the inside of the card I added a strip of the DSP and a die cut of hearts from the Sweet Hearts Dies, part of the Sweet Conversations Bundle.
Cutting Instructions:
- Blushing Bride: 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 4 1/4″ and 5 1/2″, scrap for 3 heart die (inside)
- Basic White: 4″ x 4″ (cut two), scrap for small heart die
- DSP: 1″ x 4″ (front), 3/4″ x 4″ (inside)
- Vellum: scrap for flowers
- Ribbon: 5″ for wrap, 4″ for knot
