Magnolia Mood Triple Spanner Card

My card to share with you today is a triple spanner card using the Magnolia Mood bundle. It’s been long while that I made a spanner card and magnolia flower in the set looked to be a good focal image for this fun fold card. It’s such a pretty card!

Most of the magnolias that I see in our area are the lovely pink shaded ones and with our new Pretty in Pink In Color, how easy is choose the primary color. The card base is Pretty in Pink with Lemon Lolly, Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive completing the color palette.

I started with a card base of 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. I cut 1 1/4″ from both sides to form the two side panels. On these panels are strips of Basic White cut 1 1/8″ x 4 1/8″ on which 1″ x 4″ Unbounded Beauty DSP strips are adhered.

For the centre panel I embossed a piece of Basic White cut 2 7/8″ x 4 1/8″ with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the Pretty in Pink centre panel. Next, I stamped the magnolia flower on a piece of Basic White and colored it with Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, Lemon Lolly and light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. I also used the Color Lifter to pick up some of the color to create a shaded appearance on the flower and painted Wink of Stella on the petals to give it some shine. I then die cut the flower and adhered it to the embossed panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a Window Sheet 1 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and adhered to the bottom of the back of the two panel strips with adhesive. The sentiment is stamped with Pretty in Pink classic ink on a strip of Basic White card stock and trimmed to fit the centre panel and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card I adhered a piece of Basic White 4″ x 5 1/4″ then adhered two strips of the 2024 – 2026 Pretty in Pink In Color DSP, cut 1″ x 4″ on each side. I stamped the small magnolia flower on the Basic White layer and colored the flower with the same Stampin’ Blends used for the focal image.
