Playing in the Rain

At the time I made this card, we just had a huge snowfall back in December which caused a lot of traffic woes as we’re not used to having such a large amount of snow. While it lasted for a few days, the rain finally came, and this is what inspired me to make today’s share using the Playing in the Rain bundle of products. Like singing in the rain! It was also one of the cards we made in our virtual class.

The Playing in the Rain bundle has a sweet stamp set and co-ordinating dies. The specialty designer series paper, Rain or Shine, has many of the images from the stamp set that can be die cut from one of the sheets of the dsp and the images has a shiny sheen. Beautiful!

The card base is Balmy Blue with a panel of Basic White and Balmy Blue. I embossed the Balmy Blue panel with the new Raindrops Embossing Folder. I prepared a mat of Cajun Craze and Basic White which was die cut with a square from the Stylish Shapes dies for the focal image. I stamped the Basic White square with the raindrop stamp in Balmy Blue. Next, I die cut one of the rabbits and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the focal image square. Oh Happy Day was the right sentiment as it was a happy day watching the rain wash away the snow. The sentiment was stamped in Balmy Blue and die cut with the Stylish Shapes circle die. The card is completed with embellishments from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.
