After seeing the Poinsettia Petals bundle in the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue I knew that I couldn’t resist it. At my recent Christmas in August class we made a reverse easel card using the Poinsettia Petals and coordinating dies.
The card base is 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 2 3/4″, flip the card stock and score at 5 1/2″. Fold at the 5 1/2″ score line and make a crisp crease and then fold the 2 3/4″ score line backwards and make a crisp crease on that fold. This forms a z fold.
Using the largest Stitched Rectangle die cut out a panel of Whisper White card stock. Cut another Whisper White using the next size down of the Stitched Rectangle dies. Run this panel through with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.
Die cut the Poinsettia Petals on Whisper White card stock. As I had some Perennial Essence 12″ x 12″ Vellum, I used the Old Olive sheet to die cut the leaves and Gold Foil for the flowers.
Assemble these pieces on the Tasteful Textile embossed panel and adhere this panel to the larger Whisper White piece.
Adhere this focal panel to the top portion of the easel.
Adhere a piece of 3 3/4″ x 5″ Whisper White card stock to the inside of the card. Stamp the sentiment using Versamark on a Whisper White piece cut with the 6th largest Stitched Rectangle die. Sprinkle some gold embossing powder over the sentiment and heat emboss. Pop this sentiment up on the inside of the card to create a stopper for the card when it is opened.
Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
