This Spotlight on Nature stamp bundle has been so popular that it sold out very quickly and just recently came back in stock. I had a recent class where we made this faux step card using the Spotlight on Nature stamp set.
I used the masking technique to showcase the lovely flowers in the set.

The card base is cut 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 1″, 2″ and 6 1/2″, Fold on scored lines to create the step at the bottom of the card. The feature panel is cut 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 3″
I cut two pieces of the Peach Pie In Color DSP, one measuring 4″ x 4 1/4″ and the strip measures 3/4″ x 4″. Adhere the large DSP panel to the section above the two 1″ scored lines of the card base, adhering it close to the 6 1/2″ score line.
I provided each person with a template for the mask that they can use for other cards. It is a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of cardstock with a circle cut using one of the Layering Circle dies (retired). The circle will depend on the size of the image you use on your card. For this one I used the third largest circle die cut. We placed the mask on a piece of Basic White card stock measuring 3 1/4″ x 4 3/8″ with the mask lined up with the top of the Basic White panel. The colors used are Fresh Freesia and Peach Pie. The ink was picked up with a small Blending Brushes and applied to the mask. Remove the mask after applying the color. Ink up the floral image with Memento Black ink and stamp over the colored circle.
Next stamp the sentiment to the front of the 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ panel and adhere close to the score line. Add a few of the 2024-2026 In Color dots to the focal image. Line up this piece with the base of the card base and apply glue to the bottom of the panel and adhere to the bottom of the card base. Fold the panel over the card base and apply glue to the back of the panel and adhere to the card base.
Adhere the 3/4″ x 4″ DSP strip to the bottom of the front of the card. Add a Basic White panel measuring 3 1/4″ x 4 3/8″ and adhere to the back of the card for penning your sentiment.
