We laugh when my card samples for my classes often show that I have a light hand when stamping the images. For some reason, I had a heavy hand with the sand when I was making this Number of Years shaker card. I’m almost embarrassed to share it with you but I love the colors so here goes. Don’t laugh too hard! Ai ya! It looks like the flowers are sinking into all that sand! LOL.
I started with a Whisper White card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″ . The focal Whisper White panel is cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″. I cut a circle using the new Layering Circle Framelits and embossed it with the new Petal Burst embossing folder (it’s beautiful). The flowers from Number of Years are stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock and adhered onto a panel of Daffodil Delight measuring 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ and then onto a panel of Flirty Flamingo measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″. I added Foam Adhesive Strips around the stamped flowers and dumped in the sand! I cut a square of Window Sheet and adhered it to the back of the white panel and added dimensionals around the edges of the white panel and adhered it over the Daffodil Delight panel. I added some Daffodil Delight ribbon and tied a bow around it. The sentiment is from Circle of Spring. The card is finished with a stamped Flirty Flaming butterfly from Papillon Potpourri.
