I used the direct to paper technique with the Sunflower 3D embossing folder for today’s card. The Sunflower 3D embossing folder produces a deep impression on the card stock and the direct to paper technique can be applied to either the embossed or the debossed side.
I love the Cloud Cover ink from the 2025-2027 In Colours and used it for this card. I applied the ink to the debossed side by lightly dragging the full ink pad over the panel. I first dragged it vertically across the panel in two swipes and then turned the panel horizontally and repeated the process. You can repeat the process several times to achieve the coverage you want.
Cloud Cover is a pretty ice blue shade and is very much the colour du jour.

I adhered the embossed panel to a layer of Secret Sea, also a 2025 – 2027 In Colour. These were then adhered to a card base of Cloud Cover card stock.
I die cut two labels, one on Cloud Cover card stock and the other from Secret Sea card stock, using the Mixed Label dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Mixed Labels stamp set in Secret Sea classic ink onto the Cloud Cover label. Next, I cut the Secret Sea label in half and adhered the two pieces to the back of the Secret Sea label to form a frame. I popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and finished the card with some Basic Gray & Smoky Slate Pearls.
This is a quick card to make and there are so many different colour options to choose from. Try it on the debossed side of the embossing folder as well as the embossed side and see the difference.
