I believe that the Dragonfly Dreams bundle will the be one of the very popular bundles in the Occasions Catalogue – but then there are so many fantastic bundles!!!
I thought I’d go back into the archives and use an old technique that is very versatile. It’s the shaving cream technique (and I still have the original can of shaving cream that I purchased many, many years ago!).
I cut some Whisper White card stock (5 1/4″ x 4″) and spread out a piece of wax paper. I sprayed some shaving cream onto the wax paper and then add several drops of Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight and Pink Piroutte reinkers onto the shaving cream and then used a wooden stir stix to run it through the shaving cream and swirled it around.
I placed the Whisper White card stock on top of the shaving cream and pressed it lightly to pick up the shaving cream. Using a chop stick, I then scraped off the excess. There was so much shaving cream I was able to do two (actually I could have done abut half a dozen).
I trimmed the bottom piece down to 5″ x 3 3/4″ and then put it together for this card.
The card base is Rich Razzleberry with a layer of Pink Pirouette. I cut the dragonflies using Rich Razzleberry using Rich Razzleberry card stock and adhered it to the front of the card. The sentiment from the set is stamped using Rich Razzleberry classic ink. I added some shimmer onto the dragonflies with the clear Wink of Stella brush.
I have cut out more dragonflies on the other piece and will use it for some other cards.
