Woke up to a complex full of snow this morning! The prediction was correct as the snow started to fall late last night and we have about 6″ to 8″ on the ground. Beautiful to look at but as the weather warms up later this week, I’m sure it will be a big slushy mess.
My usual go to type of stamp set is flowers and more flowers and sometimes it’s difficult to get out of your comfort zone. However, Stampin’ Up! is constantly coming out with more cute images and I couldn’t resist this one which is Sale-A-Bration set (available with a $60 order (excluding taxes and shipping) so it was easy to leave my comfort zone and embrace these cute critters.
These meerkats are so adorable!
Today’s card is a quick and easy card to put together and I got to use my blends to color the images. I love coloring and find it very calming and relaxing.
The card base is Coastal Cabana with a mat cut 4″ x 5 1/4″. I used the Stitched Nested Labels dies to cut out the opening on the mat. I stamped the meerkats on a 5″ x 3 ” panel of Whisper White with Tuxedo black ink. I used the Light and Dark Crumb Cake blends for the meerkats and Light Smoky Slate for the ground. The hat was stamped with Real Red classic ink and fussy cut. Added the sentiment to complete the focal image.
I adhered the focal panel to the front of the card base with Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue and then added the Coastal Cabana mat to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
