Thoughtful Expressions Bay Window card

I made a bay window card for today’s share using the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set and dies and paired it with the Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper.

Here is a front facing shot of the card.

I started with a card base of Basic White, cut 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 1/4″, 1 1/2″, 3 1/4″, 4 1/2″ and 5 1/2″. Add Multipurpose glue to the 5th section of the card and glue down. On the card front, adhere the strips of patterned DSP, cut 1″, 1 1/2″ and 1″ to the second, third and fourth sections. The two side strips in the solid color are cut 3/4″ x 4. Adhere one to the left side of the card front. Cut a piece of Basic White card stock 1″ x 4 1/4″ and adhere the other 3/4″ strip of solid DSP to it. Add a few dimensionals to the back of this piece and line it up with the right edge of the card. Remove backings of the dimensionals and adhere to the card. To make the bay window, slip the 1/4″ strip behind this piece.

I stamped the hummingbird with Memento Black ink and colored it in using Bubble Bath, Fresh Fresia, Lost Lagoon and Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends and then added the Wink of Stella. I used the die from the set to cut it out and popped it up on Berry Burst and Basic White die cuts from the co-ordinating dies using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment on Basic White using Berry Burst classic ink and die cut it using the narrow banner from Stylish Shapes dies. I cut another banner the same size in Berry Burst card stock and then cut off the two ends and them to each end of the Basic White banner. This was added to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the retired Genial Gems and Holiday Rhinestones to add some extra sparkle to the card.
