I like to catch up on the latest news in the morning and watch the early feeds to see what is happening. I don’t generally watch the Today show but as I was going through the channels the other day, the dress that Savannah Guthrie was wearing caught my eye as it reminded me of the To a Wild Rose stamp set. Her dress was like a So Saffron color with these beautiful blue flowers all over it so I tried to come up with something similar to the pattern on her dress.
I used So Saffron for the card base and stamped the roses on a panel of So Saffron using Blueberry Bushel. I only used two of the flower stamps and stamped them randomly over the panel. I attached it to a Blueberry Bushel panel and added some of the retired Blueberry Bushell grosgrain ribbon on the front panel. The happy birthday sentiment is from Perennial Birthday. It was cut out with the Layering Oval framelits, the plain and scallop edged ones and then added to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a small triple bow to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by on the first day of summer and happy crafting!
