Another technique from the archives is wax paper resist. I think the most fun we had while making this card was using my miniature iron and ironing board!
Aren’t these the cutest? I bought these years ago when I was first doing the wax paper resist technique as I didn’t want to haul out the big ironing board and iron. I bought a couple of irons and several ironing boards in various colors, but over the years sold them at garage sales.
But getting back to the card, the card base is Watermelon Wonder with the front panel embossed with Decorative Dots embossing folder (retiring!). With the wax paper resist technique you produce two sheets of card stock, one for the current project and you can save the other for another project. For this card, we used Tip Top Taupe to add the color and then cut it out with the Circle Framelits (retiring!). It was layered onto a Tea Lace Paper Doily (retiring!) and we added a Watermelon Wonder butterfly to it. The sentiment is from Circle of Spring.
