March 1 and the weather has come in like a lamb, does this mean that it will be going out like a lion? We’ve had so much snow in the Lower Mainland the past few months, it’s been incredible(depressing) and I’m not used to it! I like it temperate – not too cold and not too hot and that’s generally what we are accustomed to rather than the severe changes that’s been happening.
Enough of the weather. Here’s my Window Shopping card that brings some cheeriness to the cold, drab weather with some nice bright colors.
The card base is Calypso Coral (one of my fav colors) with a Peek-a-Boo Peach layer. The Whisper White layer has been embossed with the Petal Burst embossing folder.
The floral image was colored with Old Olive, Peek-a-Boo Peach and So Saffron markers. I used the Layering Squares framelits to cut it out and then adhered it to a piece of Peek-a-Boo Peach card stock cut out with the Stitched Shape Framelits. Yes, they are now available and very popular with my customers!
The sentiment is also from the Window Shopping stamp set, stamped in Calypso Coral classic ink on a strip of Whisper White and flagged on one end. Sponging on the edges completed the banner.
I stamped a butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set using Calypso Coral classic ink, punched it out with the Bitty Butterfly punch and adhered it to the card with a glue dot.
