I have seen several of these cards on the internet and wanted to make one using my favourite combination of black and white. I’m not sure what to call the technique so I’m just calling it an offset circle card.
I started with a Basic Black card base of 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″. For the Whisper White mat cut 4″ x 5 1/4″, I embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.
Next I cut out the circles using the Layering Circle dies which measure 1 1/8″, 1 3/8″, 1 5/8″ 2 3/8″ and 2 7/8″ in black, white and silver glitter paper (retired). The circles are cut and half and you start to assemble the half circles by layering them on the left hand side of the semi circle. Repeat for the other halves.
I cut a strip of Whisper White 1″ x 4 1/4″ and a Basic Black 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ strip. I add some dimensionals across the back of Whisper White strip and adhered it to the Whisper White mat. Next I positioned the top semi circles to the card front on the left hand side and then the other semi circles to the right hand side, matching up the Whisper White circle.
I then stamped the sentiment with Versamark on the Basic Black strip and embossed with silver embossing powder and adhered to the Whisper White strip. To finish the card, I added some Basic Rhinestone jewels.
