I love gatefold cards and it seems they are my go to fold for card making. There are so many variations but I generally settle on the traditional fold. A card base of 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 2 1/8″ and 6 3/8″. For some reason when I scored this card, the folds did not meet neatly so I ended up scoring at 2 1/8″ and then folding over the other side to meet in the middle.
I used the new Daisy Lane stamp set for this card and meant to use the co-ordinating new medium Daisy punch on the card but ended up not using it – lol. I used this pattern of DSP from the Perennial Essence DSP and stamped the small daisy instead as it seemed to go well with the pattern on the paper.
The flower is stamped on a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I cut a mask to place over the flower and then stamped the stem. It was cut out using the Stitched Frame. It is matted to a piece of Petal Pink card stock that was cut from the 5th largest Stitched Rectangle dies. It was wider than I wanted so I lined up the die on the cut piece to the size I wanted and rolled it through the Big Shot to get the smaller piece for the mat.
I added one of the Perennial essence Floral Centres to the centre of the flower and completed it with some Share What You Love Artisan Pearls (retired).
The flower is stamped on the inside panel.
