It’s a pretty exciting time as we are winding down from the current Annual Catalogue to the new 2019 – 20 Annual Catalogue coming out on June 4 – only two weeks away! But who’s counting? I made two cards using the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper (available in the new catalogue) with the diagonal fold. It’s been a while that I made this quick and easy card and you get two for one!
This DSP is all about green as it co-ordinates with almost all of the greens in our color spectrum – Garden Green, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Seafoam. I chose Mint Macaron for today’s cards.
For the first card I used Daffodil Delight as the accent color for the sentiment from a lovely new stamp set called Bloom and Grow. And here’s another sneak peek of the (must have!) Stitched Nested Labels dies.

The second card has more sneak peeks of the one of the new In Colors, Rococo Rose as the sentiment is stamped with the Rococo Rose classic ink and a layering circle is cut from the Rococo Rose card stock.
For the inside of the card I added a piece of 4″ x 5 1/4″ Whisper White and a strip of the DSP cut 3/4″ x 4″.
Let’s make the cards!
Supply List is below.
- On a piece of 8 1/2″ x 11″ card stock, score at 5 1/2″ on the 11″ side and 4 1/4″ on the 8 1/2″ side
- Remove the scoring blade from your Paper Trimmer and position the paper on a diagonal in the cutting guide and cut the card stock. It will produce two diagonal card stock pieces for two cards
- Cut two pieces of DSP 4″ x 5 1/4″. Position one piece in the Paper Trimmer on a diagonal with the left side of the paper at the top – and cut to produce two triangle pieces. Repeat for the other piece.
- Fold on score lines and position your DSP on the triangle adhering with Multipurpose Liquid Glue – repeat for the other card
- Adhere 4″ x 5 1/4″ Whisper White card stock in the centre of the card and add strip of 3/4″ x 4″ DSP at the bottom of the Whisper White
- Stamp sentiments on Whisper White with Rococo Rose classic ink and cut out circles with Layering Circles framelits alternating with a plain circle, scallop circle and plain circle.
- Add dimensionals between the two top circles. Add adhesive only to the left hand side of the circle and adhere to front of card.
- Complete with Basic pearls
- For the Daffodil Delight card, stamp sentiment with Daffodil Delight classic ink and cut out with Stitched Nested labels dies
- Cut out one size larger of the dies in Mint Macaron card stock and mat sentiment and adhere as above.
- Complete inside of card as above
