I had another fun and relaxing time making today’s card. This is the second card I’ve made using the Forever Fern stamp bundle and it looks like I’ll be making many more with it, it’s so beautiful! Forever Fern is one of the Distinktive stamp sets and I absolutely love the way it stamps.
I chose Soft Sea Foam for the card base with two additional layers on the card.
The first mat is cut 5″ x 3 3/4″ and embossed with the new Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. If you like the Subtle Embossing Folder you will also like this as it provides just a little more texturing. The second Soft Sea Foam mat was cut out with the largest rectangle scallop die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies.
Next I stamped the varying leaf images on Whisper White with Soft Sea Foam and Pear Pizzazz classic ink. I used the second generation stamping with the Pear Pizzazz as I wanted just a slightly darker shade of green from the Soft Sea Foam. The first generation was quite a bit darker.
The berries are stamped with Blushing Bride classic ink. I decided to cut three of of the sprigs from Vellum card stock. When all the pieces had been cut out with the corresponding Forever Flourishing dies, I started to assemble the bouquet on the die cut piece. I started adhering the larger pieces with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and added dimensionals to the other pieces to give it some dimension. I used the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle ribbon to make a bow to attach at the bottom of the bouquet. I went over the floral pieces with the Wink of Stella pen to complete the card.
