Heartfelt Doily Card

I haven’t bought a Valentine stamp set for a long time but couldn’t resist the From My Heart suite.  I can’t believe I bought the whole suite!   It’s a fantastic suite with Heartfelt stamp set, Heart Punch Pack and loads of accessories.  One of the punch punches out a scallop heart and they can be used to punch out the gorgeous hearts in the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper.

We made this at my recent Valentine card class, using the doilies to join the two hearts.  The package of doilies come in Flirty Flamingo and Real Red.   Because of the angle that I took the picture the top piece of DSP appears darker than the bottom piece.

I cut the card base 7 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 5 1/2″.  Cut another piece of Real Red cardstock 2″ x 4 1/4″.  The DSP panels are 1 3/4″ x 4″.  I lined up the bottom panel with the bottom of the card and secured it with a clothespin to hold it in place while placing the two doily hearts.  They are secured with liquid glue and glue dots.
