Layered Florals Blackout Embossing

I used the Layered Floral 3D Embossing Folder to create these two cards. The first card uses Berry Burst as the primary color and the second card uses Tahitian Tide. Let me know which one you like best. This is the Berry Burst card.

I started with a card base of Berry Burst. The colors used on the flowers are Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Daffodil Delight. I cut a piece of Basic White 4″ x 5 1/4″ and embossed it with the Layered Floral 3D Embossing Folder. I applied the color to the debossed side of the panel using Small Blending Brushes, tapping the color into the grooves of the floral and leaf images. After all the color has been applied, I used a Night of Navy classic ink pad and used the direct to paper method. Place the whole ink pad over the colored panel and drag the ink pad over the whole panel. I then trimmed the colored panel to fit the Lemon Lolly panel that was die cut with the Perennial Postage dies.

After adhering the panels to the card base I stamped the sentiment from the Framed Florets stamp set using Night of Navy classic ink onto a Berry Burst die cut also from the Perennial Postage dies. This was adhered to the feature image with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I made this version of the same card using the retiring 2022-2024 In Color products.

The card base is Tahitian Tide and the die cut panel is from the retiring Scallop Contour Dies. The feature image was colored with Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party classic ink applied with the Small Blending Brushes. I used the Starry Sky classic ink pad for the direct to paper process. The feature panel is then trimmed to fit the Scallop die.

I wrapped strands of the Tahitian Tide 1/8″ ribbon around the feature panel securing it in the back with Tear and Tape. The sentiment from Cottage Wreaths is stamped with Tahitian Tide ink on a die cut from the smallest Thoughtful Expessions die, also retiring from the January-April 2024 catalogue. This is adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also added a few of the 2022-2024 In Color Decorative Dots to complete the card.
