Storybook Friends

Today’s card is a double front flap card made with the Storybook Friends stamp set part of the Storybook Moments Suite shown the Mini Catalogue.

In the suite there are two sets of designer series papers, one is the Storybook Moments 12″ x 12″ DSP and the other is the Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP. I used the Timeless Plaid for the panels on the card and used some of the die cuts from the Storybook Moments DSP.

The card base is Boho Blue from the 2023-2025 In Colour collection.

I added the Timeless Plaid DSP panels to the front flaps and the reverse side of the DSP on the outer panels.

On the inside of the card I added a strip of the Timeless Plaid at the bottom of a panel of Basic White. I used some of the die cuts to this inside panel.

For the focal image I used two dies from the Spotlight on Nature dies. I popped up a rabbit die cut from the Storybook Moments DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals onto the Basic White circle which is then adhered to the Boho Blue circle also using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped using Boho Blue classic ink on a scrap piece of Basic White and cut to size and adhered underneath the die cut. I added a few of the gems from Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems to complete the focal image.

I cut a strip of Boho Blue for the belly band and adhered the focal image to the front of the belly band.

Cutting Instructions:

Boho Blue:

• Card Base: 5 1/2″ x 11″, score at 1 14″ and 3 3/8″. Flip card base to the other side and repeat the same score lines
• Large Die Cut: 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″
• Belly Band: 1″ x 10″

Basic White:

• Inside Panel: 4″ x 5 1/4″
• Small Die Cut: 3″ x 3″
• Sentiment: 3/4″ x 1 3/4″

Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP

• Cut 2 at 1″ x 5 1/4″ and 2 at 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″. Use gingham pattern on centre front flaps and flip DSP over for the other pattern for the outer flaps
• Cut 1/2″ x 4″ DSP strip for inside panel
